Got a quick question: Would an egg omelet be good for a Nutrisystem diet? Hoping for any answer or 2. Another question... What better time for a challenge? A new year, a new month, a little more than four weeks.. |
I would like to know the answer too. Anyone here know what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I discover an useful answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can help you..

Ok, I'm in..
However, I'm going to 4 Feb, That's one year on Nutrisystem for me.. I'm starting at 211.6. I want to lose 11.7 pounds and be under 200.. I started the over all Nutrisystem journey at 311.6 on 4 Feb 2008. I'd like to be less than 200.. Therefore, I want to be 199.9 or less.. I hate challenges, so this is a personal goal for me and me alone.. DON'T TELL ANYONE!. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this.. OK losers; watch this lard a$$ go.................. |

207/201/195.. |
I'm in on this challenge too..
My new digital scale, a gift to myself, said 191 this morning. 191=187 on my old scale but I will use the new scale going forward.. On Feb 1 I want to be at my goal weight of 180... |
I am in and I am back on Nutrisystem after a year away (and a gain of 33 lbs.
). Jan 5 reality- 238. Feb 1 goal - 228. Like to say it is great to be back but I can't !!.. |
Count me in!.
Weight today: 188. Goal: 180 (original goal). After a fun holiday season w/a modest 2-3 lb gain, I've made a commitment to no booze for the month...hopefully that will shock my system & get me down to original goal (closest I got was 184 in May of last year).. |
Feeling good- no 100% days yet in the new year, but monday was about 90% and yesterday was 50% even with business meals..
1/7/09- 241.0.. |
It has been a while since I've posted but count me in on the challenge..
Start 1/7/09 - 203. Goal 1/31/09 - 195.. |
Okay, here is what we have so far - Jan 1 to Jan 7:.
There are 30 participants in the January 2009 Challenge. More can join anytime.. The average weight loss goal is 10.67 lbs. The most ambitious is 25.6 lbs. The least is 6 lbs. Altogether, if we reach our goal, we will have lost 320.2 lbs.. These stats are a little off, because some of you weren't too precise in your goals and math was not one of my strong subjects. Numbers might also be off a bit, as in my case, because I put down 7 lbs as a goal, then gained a lb, so now I have 8 lbs to lose. I bet I wasn't the only one who did this.. I'll try to update this each week if more people (men only) join. A 10 lbs average goal is probably pretty typical of 30 guys, when we have included in this group guys who are just starting, in the middle, and near the end or just trying to get back to where they once were.. One week is down. Twenty-four days to go. Plenty of time. Now let's dig in and improve on all the mistakes we made in the first week... |
Wow, B-40, Great week one summary..
I've lost 4# of the 12# I have pledged, but this 3 day off plan may work against me. My BBB is coming tomorrow, so hold that wagon still, I'm jumping back on... |
Today's weight = 208.
Target 1.31.08 = 200. End of Month Goal = -8. Just in time for Valentine's Day. I'm gonna need more wine!.. |
Okay, first of all I'm not preaching and really could care less but the fastest way to slow or stop your weight-loss is alcohol. -just sayin'.
Btw; Welcome to the Men's Room, the sink in the corner is mine. And don't let me catch you using my hand-soap dispenser either... |
First time post. Just started Nutrisystem today. I'll put in for 11 lb this month. First timers usually lose quite a bit right?.
Start: 266. Goal: 255.. |
Welcome daveskim. 11 lbs is well within reach for the first month. Reading and writing in the posts and getting involved in challenges and drinking the water will help get you there. Good luck...
You will have no problem losing that if you stick to the plan and drink your water..
Welcome to the Men's Room. Wash your hands before exiting... |
The first week report was a bit off because I discovered that I counted someone twice and incorrectly put in a few of the goals. The corrected numbers for the first week are a total of 313 pounds to lose, with 29 participants, and an average of 10.79 for all of us..
Since then we have had 2 more people join, changing the numbers to a total of 332 pounds to lose, 31 participants, and an average of 10.70 for all of us.. We are still open for more people to join.. For those of you who have committed to this and want to post your progress, feel free to do so. Confessions, attempts at excuses, and words of encouragement are also welcome. I cant help but think of the Canadian Red Green TV show and the mans prayer at the end: I am a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess.. We can do this... |
Count me in on some of of this action.....I just started the program on 1-7-09. I am gonna say 15 by the end of the month..
Current - 330. Goal - 315.. |
Welcome Lulucoco. It is good to see you posting and taking up a challenge on your second day on NS...
Hey guys... just started up this week at 293lbs. I'd love to see 280 by the end of the month!..
Thanks man. Got a long way to go, but looking forward to it...
When I am on Nutrisystem I only weigh myself on Mondays. I find if I weigh myself more than one time per week, I get discouraged especially as you close in on your goal weight and it comes off much more slowly..
You have been added in and welcome to NS. You did the right thing getting the W8 weight chart, too. Even though it took a month before I added mine, it sure helped me keep on track over time...
I got a new scale for Christmas and had to add 6 lbs to my current weight and goal. Good bye old friend, hello new body! (BTW my 1/31 goal is still -8)..
Got me a new scale on the way too. My old one wasn't digital and only went up to 300, so I was actually pegging the scale past the max and back around another 65 pounds or so..
So I'm sure my weight is going to be different when I get the good scales next week. I know that the stress I was putting on the old one wasn't giving me an acurate reading... |
It's working! It's always hard to get momentum, but a few 100% days and a little ignoring that inner fatty and I am on my way!.
1/4/09- 244.5. 1/9/09- 239. Goal: 1/31/09- 234.. |
It's great to have you post here first. It's easy to do and that next step beyond lurking is really helpful in the long run. Nice way to start the new year. Welcome and good luck...
I wish my chart showed a nice dip like yours. I'm really struggling to get the line pointed down again. I've been 100% for a few days now and am feeling much better, but the line doesn't seem ready to move yet. Maybe tomorrow...
I am brand new as well so I'm in..
Start weight 1/1/09 - 235. Goal weight 2/1/09 - 225. Goal loss - 10 lbs.. |
Im in , how does this work, I am presently 294.8 would like to be 286 by the end of Jan...
You're in. That's all you have to do ... oh, and lose 8.8 lbs. There are no prizes other than the weight you lose and the pride in saying you made your goal on January 31st. Welcome...
I'd like to join along, but my scales are taking forever to get here from amazon...
SO, 7 days into the program now and doing well. However, I am starting to get cravings for all the food I should have had before I started. What is the basic philosophy about "cheat days?" I know the plan is what will get the weight off, but I am worried that if I don't take a break every once in a while I will start to resent it and then just jump off the wagon all together. I was first thinking that I would allow myself a "cheat meal" after every 20 lbs. But that seems like using food as a reward. My other thought is once every month I could have one of my favorite "bad foods" Anyone have any advice?.
Don't worry. I'm thick skinned (as well as thick middled) and I know that I am going to get a bunch of "its a lifestyle" things. But I thought I would throw it out there.. Dan.. |
I would anticipate eating lightly the day before, the day of, and the day after as well...
I had one planned non-NS meal a week to avoid the anxiety of relentless dieting...
Well, you can knock 5.2 lbs off the total. I had an awesome week!.
Challenge Start - 249.6. Current - 244.4. Goal - 239.6.. |
Some people do have cheat days and do weekends off kind of thing but it takes them significantly longer to lose the weight they want. For me and others like me that have a crappy-food addiction or emotional eaters or stoners satisfying the munchies, we must abstain completely from our food lust of the past. I spent 43 years indulging in all that crap so now when I do have an off plan meal, it's Subway chicken breast on wheat with no cheese or mayo, or Applebee's WW menu..
When/If you decide to have cheat days just follow the "No White Foods" rule and check the fat/carb content at. Http://www.calorieking.com/. Before you go out.. Those who fail to plan, plan to fail... |
I was a smoker for 10 years, trying for 5 of those years to quit. I would say, "just one cigarrette" and every time I gave in to that, I was back on cigarrettes again. I quit by quiting, period. That was 33 years ago and I still feel that if I had one cigarrette, just one, I would have to go through stopping all over again. Pathetic, but true, so you see where I'm going with this..
What is it that you are particularly craving? Is there a certain time of day, day of the week when you want it? How have you handled it to make it through so far without cheating?.. |
Listen to these guys that have lost a lot..
They do know they are talking about.. One of the best pieces of advice I've read. Around here is, "do not deviate from plan,. No matter how hard, for at least 2 months.". Suck it up, Man up, or whatever you want to call it and. Just follow plan for while.. Results CAN be typical. IF you follow the directions... |
I guess that it's a bit late to start now for this challenge. I'm assuming that there will be one for February...
Go For a half month goal NuDoug... Got to start somewhere right?..
OK, I'll start by being a little on the conservative side. I'm not sure what I can expect to lose, so I'll start off by saying that I'll go for 4 pounds for this month..
Count me in... |
Nudoug, today aftewr 12 days I weighed in 6lbs than the day I started and I started weak,, off track and have only been 100% about 5 of the last 12 days!!.
Not trying to ego crush you , but it is obvious this thing works!! Go big (meaning big loss) !.. |
Well, I'll follow the program. If I lose more than 4, then great. I just don't want to set my expectations too high. This is my second time around with NS. I can always up the expectations for February..
BTW, 6 pounds in 12 days is outstanding. Great job!.. |
198 - Down 3 for the week! It's great to have the scale moving again. Recording my calories made me realize I was close to 2000 calories instead of 1500 - it's made all the difference. My deviations were small (portion sizes, small extras etc.) but they added up...
Congrats tom to clear out of the 200s. it really shows that you are determined to make that goal!! keep pushing!!..
Congrats on breaking the 200 mark Tom, that's awesome!.
Nudog / Ulti ... Just be aware that a big loss in the first week or two is the norm. Don't get discouraged when the loss drops off some after that. As long as the scale doesn't go up, you're winning the battle!.. |
Weigh in for the week.
1-5-09 at 238. 1-12-09 at 228.2. Loss of 9.8 lbs.. |
Monday Morning weigh in -2.
1-5-09 180. 1-12-09 178. 1-31-09 172 (goal weight).. |
I apologize for joining in late..
Jan 12 current weight: 273.0plb. Jan 31 goal weight: 269.0plb. Goal: Loss of 4 plbs minimum... |
This week was a bust, still at 308. To be perfectly honest, some of those days off-plan was not completely healthy, including a trip to the Chinese buffet. So.....
Start 312. Goal 300. Still at 308. Still down 4.. |
Monday morning weigh in -4.
Jan. 12 Current weight 346. Jan. 31 Goal weight 335. 11 lbs to go.. Gonna have to bear down to hit my goal weight.. However, I'm worried about my new digital scales coming in the next couple days.. Hope it won't scew my weight too much for next time... |
207.4 todays weight..
Only 7.5 to go by Feb 4, (my one year mark). I think I can, I think I can, Ah hell I know I can... |
On January 15th I'll be posting the latest information with new numbers for being 1/2 way through the month. I'll add in the numbers for anybody who wants to post in today (14th) with lbs lost so far. Don't make me do the math with starting weight and today's weight, please. Just post the number of lbs lost so far. Either that or the excuses. I'm afraid I'll be in the excuse column..
Not much of a role model so far this month, but there are still two weeks+ left... |
Remember guys, just a plus or minus number of lbs. mytywarrior had it right. WEHLERS, you need to tell me if that means you are at 0 lbs lost..
And, for the record, that's where I am. I've lost and gained 1 lbs four times in the last two weeks to put me at 0... |
1/1/09 295.6.
1/14/09 288. Lost 7.6. Gotta step it up big time if I am to get the other 18lbs in 17 days. I always said that if you don't set your goals high enough, you would never know what you could really do. Guess that I should have been more realistic in hind sight... |
I'm in....
Start 1/2/09 - 278. Goal 1/31/09 - 260. Loss of 18 lbs. Already down 10 as of today!!!.. |
The pull of gravity is not the best goal - the results of what we do is not directly controllable. If I may - I would suggest a better goal is maintaining the lifestyle you find that you can sustain. If the results are not to your liking - then change the lifestyle to get the results you want - just make sure the new lifestyle is sustainable. We can all make sacrifices over the short run - but what will happen when we return to our old habits. Whatever results you achieve - make sure your goal is to find a healthy lifestyle you can continue forever!..
Starting weight 1/2/09 - 189.
Today's weigh-in 183.8. Down 5 so far. Goal loss - 8lbs.. |
