Quick question... What is your favorite chicken Medifast Diet recipe? Looking forward for any comment. Another question on my mind: First a hello to all!. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some investigation and get back to you if I find an anything. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably could answer your Medifast question..

I'm also a daily weigher but only record my weight weekly. I find it motivates me to check-in during the week and even though I know there are flucuations, if I see that number go up at all, it pushes me that day to stay OP. It's just part of my routine, wake-up, go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, get on the scale before my morning shower. That being said, I also look for the NSV, I record my measurements weekly. I've lost 2" on my waist, 3" on my hips, 2" on my chest, 1" on my thighs in my first 2 weeks...it's nice to measure all progress you make. I feel that my normal pants are getting too big now and I was able to pull out my jeans that were a size smaller all ready..
Good luck, whatever route you end up going!.. |
I weigh daily also, but the little ups and stay the sames don't bother me, I know it does some people. I love seeing the pattern of losing/not losing...
The fluctuations were exactly the point of weighing daily, according to Dr. Beck... you need to see that graph going up and down every day in order to desensitize yourself to the small gains that are normal for everyone..
It makes sense to me. In the past, I would have so much anxiety every week over weighing in. This way I hope to just make it a part of my daily routine and not stress over it so much... |
I also weigh daily (sometimes at night before I go to bed) but only record on Mondays. I used to go to WW and the weekly weigh-ins were anxious times...
I weigh everyday and I write it on a calendar that way I know my bodies trends. I fluctuate up and down during the week and there is a pattern to it. I sometimes forget and eat so then I do not weigh that day. It is always first thing in the morning before I eat or drink anything...

I'm another daily weigher who only changes her ticker once a week. I like to see the daily fluctuations so that I have an idea of what to expect on my official weigh-in day. I've tried weighing weekly, but found myself very discouraged at times. If I waited a whole on-plan week and expected to have a great loss and only had a tiny one or none at all, this was crushing!..
I also weigh daily and move my ticker once a week. I find that it really helps to keep me accountable. If I have an up day, I look at salt intake etc. and make adjustments. The ups are a little bit of a bummer but at this point I know that they don't last if I have been OP so they aren't a big deal...

I am glad I read this I am only on my second week and the scale already seems stuckDo you find you lose a little at a time or you get a whoosh all at once ? Also how do you update the ticker to reflect your loss ? So confused with ticker..
Zombie - My weight seems to go in whooshes, but I think everyone is different. As far as the ticker, when you weigh-in, it will change the weight on your ticker creator, but you have to make a new ticker each time you want to update it. Copy the code, then under edit profile/settings, edit signature (on the right) and paste the new code. Hope this helps!..

I too, am a daily weigher! But I update my ticker sometimes more than once a week....if I see it, I CLAIM it! It's something that helps keep me motivated. I also have a calendar hanging above my scale and write my weight on it every day so I can see the trend. I've kicked up the exercise recently and have noticed quite the slow down...even a (gasp) GAIN after heavy work-out days, but I'm ok with it, because the NSV's balance it. Daily Weighing is a tool that I use for motivation! It may not be right for all, but it works for me!.
((HUGS)).. |

I weigh in first thing every morning, but I only "count" it for tracking purposes when I weigh in on Friday morning. The others are just to see how different things I do day by day affect my weight...
I weigh twice a day. In the morning and before dinner. I need the constant feedback, am motivated by both gains and losses. If it's a loss, then I think "I'm doing so well. Keep it up!" If it's a gain, I think "Uh oh. Better buckle down for actual weigh day.
I only change my ticker and log my weight once per week, but I keep a dry erase board all decorated up around my weight, and change it for each whole pound dropped. I look at it every morning as motivation... |
I weigh pretty much every day, first thing in the morning. I don't have a set reoutine for when I change my ticker, try to do it once a week...
Prime example of why I weigh daily:.
Yesterday I weighed in at 301.4.. Today would be my weekly weigh-in and I was at 304.2.. I would have been so discouraged if I didn't know that I weighed a little less yesterday.. I understand that the graph will go up and down, but the overall trend is downward.. (I have to keep telling myself this, lol.).. |
I agree with you. I weigh every day and do my official weigh-in on Sundays. Helps keep me OP. I also notice some ups and downs, but the overall is going down, so that's what really matters. 60 lbs, very nice progress!!! Inspirational and encouraging for the rest of us!..
