First question I have is What can I have instead of milk during Phase I of the Medifast Diet? Hoping for any comment. My other question... Welcome to the thread for Daily Weighers Clubhouse team. Here's a place you can hold your head up high and jump on that scale as much as you want without judgment !. |
Hmm... I need to find out myself. I don't know what is the right answer. I'll do some research in Google and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably know..
Good morning my fellows scale lovers. I'm Karen and glad to find solace in the same company and NOT have to be judged for my behaviors. Not much to say about myself. I'm a workaholic, displaced mom, Wii fanatic, and just a bit crazy. I love laughter, taking life non-seriously, and wish for world and economic peace. I'm easy going, fairly private, creative, selectively OCD, determined and sometimes a complete mess.
Current weight:188. Scale Name: "Really?" (it must be cuz that's what I always say to it).. |
Good Morning frequent weighers,.
My DH is also on program and just slipped by me in weight loss. The dog! I am joining your group cause he seems to find both comfort and motivation in the daily weight. I'm hoping I will will too! I've added your banner to my signature, 'cause I'm going to unashamedly fly the flag for you. We who weigh often must not be hidden!. Anyway, I've found my starting point. Thanks for the supportive thread... |
Good morning DWers,.
I haven't stopped by in a while but I am excited to report that I have been at 149 for the last two days! :-) I love new "decades!". Welcome, Karen and Mary!.. |

Jodi....You are doing an awesome job....congrats on getting into the new decade!. Mia...Enjoy your 4&2 weekend.. BlackJack is steady today with no losses dealt to me....I am still at 181.4. Hopefully I'll get another whoosh in by Monday (actual weigh in day).. I'm off to volunteer at my boys' school today....have a great day OP day everyone!.. |
Happy A1 day! It's great to see how happy everyone is today... nice to meet you Mary & Karen! Bruno gave me a hug this morning... and so did my DH... It's our 20th legal anniversary today (Yes, we really are April Fools!). We're going to a fancy restaurant for dinner tonight. I've already looked the menu over, and it's going to be a challenge.
I'll check in later to see how everyone's day is going. So far, so GOOD!.. |
Good Morning Everyone!.
For no reason at all (other than April Fools!) Veritas jumped up 2 this morning after my stellar new low yesterday. TOM started after yesterday's weigh in...that must be it. Man...I had a chance of seeing a new decade this morning...oh well! Back to Ticker Chase land.. Hey...I did hear this morning the 9 words every girl wants to hear from her DH:. "You really don't need to lose any more weight.". Thank you P90X with MF...a powerful combo!. Welcome Mary and Karen!. PJ...we just had our 25th in December and we went to a really nice steak house so it was easy sticking to plan. Do your best rather than avoid though...it's an important date for you!. Hi Cathy and Mia!. Hi Cali!. Jodi...good to see you! Pop in more often...especially w/ good news like that!. EMT...did you update yesterday? I need to go check the march thread...miss you!!!. Ethel...how are you doing?. Lisa?. Hi TKD, Katie, Nonie.. |
G'mornin' all!.
Churchill still holding relatively steady (up 0.2, but nothing extraordinary.... plus, I seem to get my low weight on Fridays when I wake up from my afternoon nap before work, so I'm not going to get too excited just yet.). However, I feel like I'm starving (I know I'm not) and I was hoping for TOM to start today so I could get to that WHOOSH sooner! LOL (Look, if I'm starving and it's time for TOM, I should be due a Whoosh soon, right?). Sue... you rock.. Anna, love ya girl!. Jodi... go update that ticker!!!. PJ, just remember, you are paying your money, they can fix it the way you want it!!! Happy Anniversary!. Cathy, have fun at the school.. Mia, if I keep feeling tired and hungry I may have to transition to a 4&2 to see if it makes a difference.. Kmkroll... I LOVE your scale name!!. Mary, that dog! LOL... how dare he?? My DH (not on MF) was starting to gain and then just started losing again. Realized what it was... he started driving everywhere during the winter and the car has been non-functional for over a week now, so he's walking everywhere again!!!.. |
Mornin Yall, Eduardo gave me a small woosh this morning so I am happy! Keep trucking everyone!..
Of course I was languishing over on the March thread, wondering where everyone was...Thanks to Cathy, I made it over here!.
Karen & Mary!. Jodi. ~Yay on the new decade.. Sue. ~YOU ROCK, GIRL! \m/>.<\m/. Cali. ~Thanks for starting the April thread. (You and I are the same weight, again!). PJ. ~Happy Anniversary!. Cathy. ~Have fun with the kiddos!. Ella. ~Have a good nap and an even better visit with Churchill when you get up!. Mia. ~I do the 4&2 on days when my BM FIT tells me that I've done over 1 hour of vigorous excercise. It's nice! Glad it works for you, too!. Nonie. ~Love the WHooSH! Yay you!. Sorry to anyone that I missed. ((HUGS)) to all!. Oh, Epstein and my ticker are in agreement today! WooHoo! Hopeful that my WHooSH will come soon!.. |
Cathy.
I wish I knew where it went. PJ. Look at the menu as a list of ingredients. Any restaurant can make you meat/fish of some sort made with just dry spices and ask them to steam your veggies, no oil, no butter, no sauce.. Sue. Sorry you're up you know it'll come back off. Ella. I hope we both start soon!. Nonie. Yay on your whoosh!. EMT. Glad you found april. There are so many of us right around this weight... |
EMT...your last post on the March board was too fun for people to miss!! Hope you don't mind if I copy it over here. My goodness...but your life is getting interesting!!!.
"2 fun "hottie" stories:. Got a casual "date" with the helo pilot on Saturday. There's a function for the chief flight paramedic who is "retiring" after 20+ years in that position. He's only retiring because he was sworn in as our Sheriff in January. Anyway, 'helo-boy' and I are attending together.. And yesterday afternoon my laptop died. I'm one of those that paid for the service contract. I called and they said to bring it in. I told them that I didn't have a car (I walk most places) and didn't have one available to borrow, but that I did need my computer for a meeting that I had last night. The guy was very nice, confirmed my address, drove the 20 minutes from town to look at it, drove back to town to get the part that he thought would fix it, and came back to my house and DID fix it. When he came back the 2nd time, I was all ready to head out for my run. I told him that I was probably the slowest runner in the world, and he said that he was probably a "bit faster than that," but that running with him would be a good thing for me. It would get me to run at a faster pace. Hmmm, I don't remember getting such "special service" a few months and 80 pounds ago!".. |
I have a running date with the CCT(Cute Computer Tech) Saturday too! Two hotties in one day! WooHoo! (does that make me a wanton woman?).
Sue, I'm glad my post amused you! I'm pretty pleased about how things are turning around too! ((HUGS)).. |
EMT.
Have a fun running date. Oh and if I do say so myself, helo pilots are awesome (even if I hate flyingI am married to one.. |
So does someone want to tell me when I'm going to see my darn collar bones again?..
Thanks! I think we are all something....maybe a little like this!..
Hi all!.
I was running errands all day today and now am sitting at my volunteer weekend. It is a bunch of techies getting together and helping the non-profits in Maryland.. I am down to ..166. 16 more lbs until goal #1. I talked to my dad today and he is SO proud of me. He is finally going to get tested for Celiacs disease because his stomach has been bothering him so much eating wheat.. My size 10 jeans are hanging on me and need a belt for them... |
Anna...good question....I would like to see mine to. My wonderful husband brought to my attention that I have one saddlebag....whatever!!! I could be wrong, but it's on my right side and that is the side that I carry my almost 2 year old son on and I wonder if it is from that. Who knows. At least I look good from the left side...lol.
Katie...I hope your Dad is okay. In August my Dad will have been passed away for three years. He died when he was just 62. I miss him sooooo much. I wish I could share my Medifast journey that I am doing with him....he would have been proud of me too.. Now I'm off to yet another baseball game for my oldest son. They won their last one (so far it's the only one that they have one), so they are really excited about the game tonight.. Have a great weekend MFer's!!!.. |
My dad is a diabetic, has high blood pressure etc. He weighs 270 now, and wants to get down to 225. He saw my picture and is like it doesn't even look like you...
Katie.
It would be great if you inspired your Dad to do this and get healthier.. |
Holy Cow!!.
1 day into April and already 3 pages of posts!! We are getting popular ladies!!. Echelle has me at 177.8 today. I keep dancing around 177/178. Hope to break that plateu this week but honestly I'm struggling with keeping on plan. Again, not eating as many greens as I should and too much cheese! I think I'm getting sick of my choices for lean and green. There is only so much fish, egg whites and poultry I can take!!! Anywooo enough about that. I know what I need to do and complaining isn't going to get me there.. Anna. - I hear ya on the collar bones!! Unfortunately by the time my show, my neck skin will sag down and cover them!!. EMT!!!. WOW You go girl!!! Have a great day tomorrow on your dates!!!.. |
Lisa.
You do know what to do !! Do you not eat pork or beef? if you do I'd try it just once in awhile to change things up. I make myself have fish once a week even though I hate it just for the change of pace.. I'm also grateful I had no liquid in my mouth b/c I'd have lost my laptop with the chicken neck skin line, thanks for the laugh.. |
Happy Friday evening. On the Nook so it is not so easy due to small letters. My collar bones showed up around 160 or so. The saggie neck was in Feb.. I bought a skin moistuurizer with wrixkle stuff. Sorry forgot the name of it.
Now if I could get the boobs to stop sagging. I went from a 40 ddd to a 38d. I really feel flat for te first in my life.. Vegi time... |
Wow... what a fun day I slept through. EMT... you enjoy that "special service".... LOL.
I knew I'd have a lower weight when I woke up this afternoon, sure enough I did. 186.1!!! Only a tiny bit more to that next goal! (And that makes 2 lbs for the week... can't beat that!) even if I do have to go to work tonight... blech. Hopefully Norovirus has left the house!!!.. |
Hi Girls!.
Helicopter pilots make me think of Harrison Ford!. Katie...girl, you just got INTO your 10's! And now they're loose? awesome!. Mia...I just finally decided to buy "big girl bras"...not as in Big Girl, but in grown up girl. I've been wearing sports bras for the last 4 years and decided it was probably time to wear a real bra (plus I need the lift!). I went from 42 D to 38B....they are the incredibly shinking boobs right now!.. |
Hi Daily Weighers,.
I've been a busy girl the last few days.. on the run with school and fun both. WideLoad and I are both enjoying week 2 of transition, and I'm down a little bit. Looking forward to seeing what Monday brings, but at the moment I'm down to 167.2! (well, I was this morning - I expect some bounce up tomorrow though because I've had more than my fair share of sodium today). Anything at or below goal is fine with me though!. Anna/Cali - Thanks for starting our new thread! Hang in there - phrog WILL move soon (darn pre-TOM) :-) I can't wait to hear about your house-hunt!!. Karen - WELCOME to the daily weighers :-) Love your scale name, LOL.. Hi Mary - Welcome to you as well! Glad to hear you and DH are both doing Medifast together. That's what my husband and I did (although he hit goal long before I did - he didn't transition properly though and is trying to get back on track now). Those silly men and their rapid losses though - I feel you on that pain! Don't worry, we get there too :-). Jodi - Congrats on the new decade! I cannot even imagine something starting with 14.. WOW! ::Happy Dance::. Mia - Yay for a 4&2 weekend!! Do you do that every weekend and I've missed it, or is this a special weekend? My DH is having a tough time getting back on 5&1 so I've been encouraging him to try 4&2 since it is more food - and he needs to get training for his next fitness test too.. Cathy - Hope you had a lovely time at your boys' school. Also - I've got my fingers crossed for your well deserved whoosh for WI day. Maybe you'll get to a new decade then as a double down win ;-). PJ - Happy Anniversary!. Sue - That silly Veritas.. that's not a very nice April Fools joke! Also - YAY from hearing not to lose more weight from DH! (When I hit goal my DH said in a facebook post - "Congratulations, now stop before you lose any more!") I LOVE your recent photo. You totally deserve to win one of the happily ever afters! (I applied too, just for giggles - but there are SO MANY amazing stores!). Ella - You are absolutely due for a nice WHOOSH. I actually looked forward to being hungry because I knew big whooshes would follow. Only time in my life I've ENJOYED the sensation. Medifast makes such crazy changes in us, eh?. Nonster - hello!! Congrats on your whoosh.. and wow on the 10 pound loss on your ticker already!!. EMT - LOL, I'm glad I saw you crying out on the March thread because it reminded me to look for the new one this evening :-D ::hugs:: Glad you found us yet again ;-) I can't wait to hear about your hottie-run-date! Also - Pilot too? You are gonna have a great weekend!!. Katie - That's great that you are volunteering this weekend. Thanks for helping Maryland Non-profits. Congrats on the scale going down again.. btw - your ticker is AWESOME!! (also wow on the hanging size 10s.. daaymn!) Good luck to your dad with the testing.. Lisa/knizek - Hang in there.. maybe we can come up with some alternate leans for you? I'm not sure what you will and won't eat - but maybe time for a nice filet? I loves me some lean, tender, red-meaty goodness from time to time. ROFL on the neck skin comment!. Mia again - ROFL on the boob sag.. I didn't lose much of anything in the boobs for the first 70 pounds.. but I swear the last 20 was all boobs and butt (I didn't mind the butt part of that). I went from a 42DDDD to a 36DD.5 ;-) They were also hanging a bit low and now they are just pitiful! I told DH he is going to buy me a boob job for my 45th b-day, but I might move it up to 42nd b-day instead! (I'm 39 now).. Finally - WOW I can't believe we were already into 4 pages before I even found time to stop in today. ::hugs to all::.. |

Hello Daily Weighers!.
I would like to join your group. I am a past member. While I was a DW I had fabulous success with Medifast and lost 90+ lbs between Jan and August 2009. AND I kept my weight at or 5lb below goal until October 25, 2011 when I was hospitalized with a serious DVT. I have been on disability since and the DVT reoccured in January. So, I am on massive doses of blood thinner, heavy duty pain pills and some wonderful muscle relaxers. And I gained 30 pounds.. So, I have decided to turn this train wreck around and start LOSING the weight that is creeping up on me. I know it will be hard with my meds and with my inability to exercise. I am also out on disability from work and the stress is difficult. So so so, I know with the help and support of my fellow medifasters I can make this work again. I know it will be difficult, and I know that my losses will be slow due to my meds. But, I will take a slow loss over a slow gain any day.. I am 5 days OP now and feeling great. I love hitting the Medifast "groove" when everything clicks. No hunger and extra energy. I am hoping to have the 30 lbs gone by the time my youngest heads off to college in August.. Oh, and my name is Karen (not dora...).. |
Hey!.
Would like to join in - just started 3/31. So far, 3.6 lbs. down. Bernie was good to me. Look forward to keeping track and staying tuned in with everyone!.. |
Good morning DWers! I just had to laugh at all the bra talk. I need to get fitted for a new bra because that is what shrunk the most in the last month!.
Welcome, Karen and Morgan!. I'll stop by later. Today is my "official" WID and I haven't weighed in yet, time to change the ticker today!.. |
Good Morning,.
Truth has me down 1.6 today Woosh!!. I am so glad I am back on plan. Today is saturday for most and my friday so have a great weekend... |
Wow great loses in the first go round and sorry your in so much pain. I know you can turn the train wreck around.
Welcome back.. |
Ok how do we add the picture of the scale? I see alot of posts with it but havent found an option...
We're just full of new people welcome.
Karen. And. Morgan. Tb. In the first post at the bottom is the code for the scale picture (if there are spaces or * remove them then past into your signature). Sue. You are funny. My boobs have hardly changed since I started this I keep waiting. I've only gone from a 42 D to a 38DD.. Ethel. It's great that you're still going down in maintenance.. Morning. Jodi. !!!. Phrog is still at 182, I'm just hoping for a post TOM whoosh in a few days. Just some housekeeping and laundry going on today, have a great one everybody.. |
Good Morning Daily Weighers,.
Ok so I named my scale this morning. "Terminator" 'cause it ended my good mood early.. I'm up .8.. Sue and Anna- I thought the droop was my age. You made my day.. Tb-The first post in this thread has the URL of the picture. Copy and paste it into your signature box. At he top of this page on the left it says "edit profile/settings" click there and you'll find the signature. You can also add tickers, goals etc.. that appear every time you post.. Karen-yay you. I love the groove too. You'll make the 30 by August!. I'm scrap booking all day today, surrounded by food. I'll try to check in later to finish shout outs. Wow what a big successful group! Nice!.. |
Hi DW'ers! I'm HOME!!!.
Didja miss me?? OMG I am so glad to be home. AND happy to report I am down 5.3 for the week. Mind you Thursday was my official WI day so the loss is over 9 days, not 7. When I travel I'm always so afraid I'll have done all the hard work of staying 100% OP and come back to no change, so it is really wonderful to see the hard work has paid off.. I read through the posts and it looks like we're getting more new members. Two Karens? Welcome all.. Karen the Wii fanatic. What do you do on the Wii that you love most. For me it is Just Dance 2. I'm a dancin fool! LOL. Sue - I'll get a pic of the Easter goose today when the sun comes up. I was already waking up early 5am or 6am, then got on Eastern time and am now back on Central time so I was up at 4:45am today and it felt like I had slept in. Geez.. I missed you all and am looking forward to some more regular time together.. There is no place like home! HUGGLES.. |
TKD... welcome home and congrats on the loss! That's wonderful!.
Mary, the name "Terminator" and your reason for it made me giggle. Cute!. Ethel... such an inspiration to see your maintenance phase going so well!!. Won't be able to weigh until tonight (as I have yet to go to bed) but will catch up with all you lovelies when it happens!.. |
Ella.
Get some rest. Tracey. I'm glad you made it home and are back with us and WHAT A LOSS!!!!. Mary. Welcome, love your scale name.. My period started than goodness. I was going to try to April Fool's my dh yesterday by telling him I was pregnant (which isn't possible unless his surgery hadn't worked) but he was so busy studying that it would have been lost on him. I forgot how much work flight school is, even if you've been flying for years... |
LOL, I actually posted that on FB yesterday. When you have seven kids, no one is sure whether to believe you or not!!.
Hopefully the joke will not be on. Me..... |
Morning DW's.
Ethel_4&2 is something I tried lasted weekend to stay OP and get past the Hold I was in. So far it is working. I'm not hungry. It also makes the weekend with the kids and their friends around easier.. I will check back later. Time to make some coffee and find my glasses... |
Karen.
&. Morgan!. Teri. ~Another WHooSH! for you!. Jodi. ~Good Luck with WWI.. Tkd. ~ Welcome Home!. Ella. ~See ya after you get some sleep!. Ethel. ~Yay! for Transition success so far! Keep it up!. Anna. ~182 is one of those numbers that likes to stick around! You'll get past it!. Epstein FINALLY let me move beyond ticker! Down 0.8 to 181.2! WooHoo!. Running date with CCT (cute computer tech) this afternoon, then retirement/surprise party date with HHP (hottie helo-pilot) tonight. Thinking of wearing my backless black t-shirt with my black sailor pants to that one....hmmmmm, decisions-decisions! I also have been asked to bring a dessert to this shindig tonight, so I'm thinking Banana Cream Pie. I am allergic to bananas, so I'll take a benadryl and make it, and won't be tempted by BLT's!. Well that's my plan for the day....will check in after CCT and HHP and let y'all know how it goes! ((HUGS)).. |
Hi Ladies,.
I am day 2 of the programmer's weekend. I am in ALL my glory with fellow geeks. One of the guys is having another programmer's weekend in July up in Pittsburg, PA. I am SO going up there. This is for all the non-profits.. The hardest part of the weekend so far is definetly the food. OMG I am surrounded by junk food. None of it I can eat so today I brought a bag full of my food. Another guy is doing low carb so they got him a microwave that I can use for soup. It is amazing that if you make needs known that they will work with you.. My scale is up a teensy - 166.5, I am feeling a little bloated from the salad dressing at 10 pm. I did my WI yesterday because of this weekend being jampacked and routine goofy... |
Good morning, everyone!!!.
Just a quick check in as we have a full day of more baseball games to get ready for.... Ella...Great job on your weekly loss.....you are doing awesome!. EMT...Enjoy your dates and keep us posted.... Ethel...Great job on the transition and maintenance...you are rockin' it!!. Karen and Morgan...Welcome!. Tb.....AWESOME WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!! Great job!. Anna....Phrog will come around...he's just playing hard to get right now!! You are due for your big whoosh anytime now.. Mary...LOVE the name of your scale...how clever!!. Tkd....HOLY GUACAMOLE!! Nice loss for you, especially with being away from home. WOO HOO for you!!!. Hi to Sue, Mia and everyone else!!. As for BlackJack...I saw 179.8 flash on the scale and started to get REALLY excited, but he dealt me a 180...YaY!! I was hoping to be 180 by my sons birthday party on April 9th, so I'm happy that I made that goal. Next is 174, so I won't be considered "obese" any more....hope to get that one by the end of the month.. Have a great Saturday!.. |
Hi Everyone!! Especially new people! Ugh...awful cramps today. Sometimes TOM is so comfortable I barely know, but sometimes it's brutal. I never know what I'm going to have to deal with...this one is a bad one. I tried avoiding advil as long as I could...but finally had to cave..
Cathy...man...hate it when the scale does that tease! but...it tells you that it's right around the corner!. Katie...love the new pic! We finally get to see your face! Stay strong, you can do it!. EMT...have fun today! If you wear the backless shirt, you'll have lots of attention with the wings!. Mia...glad to hear the 4/2 is working well for you. Have a great weekend!. Ella...in your case, that probably was NOT a funny April Fools joke! My DH played a joke on his family...he's got a brother on a biz trip in London right now, so my DH called one sister to tell her that the brother was going to meet the queen, as part of the business negotiations. He told her to call the rest of the family to let them know. Of course, she enthusiastically bought it and was calling everyone. It was pretty funny.. Hi Cali! Have you ever flown w/ your hubby? I think that's really cool!. TKD...post the pic! We're glad you're home safe!. Hi everyone else! That's as far back as my "advanced" goes. Ethel...good to see you here! Way to go on an excellent transition so far!.. |
Good morning DWers,.
I had a lovely long sleep, and WideLoad and I both agreed that it was just right. The scale didn't move from yesterday - which is awesome (holding at 167.2 - yay!) So far transition is going well.. I'm looking forward to week 3 starting Monday.. Karen/Dora - Welcome! Ouch on the DVTs! I've admired your photos before, and am very glad you decided to join us :-). Momof2peanutz - welcome to you as well! Congratulations on your amazing start (love that first week - it may be mostly water weight, but our knees sure don't know that. Mine LOVED the fast start and I hope you notice feeling better soon too).. Jodi - I need to go get fitted for bras again.. I just went a couple of months ago, but I'm rattling around now and the band is too loose. Dang - they are expensive in my size! Seems like a common problem around here lately :-). Tbzona - That's an awesome WHOOOSH!! Enjoy your weekend feeling lighter on your feet! :-D. Anna/Cali - Hang in there.. your whoosh is coming! (also yay for TOm showing up and not teasing anymore - I hate the wait) BTW - I'm in transition, not maintenance. I won't be in maintenance until my trip this summer. I"ll get there though!. Mary - DOh - I'm not sure I like that new name for your scale as much! Hang in there though.. our daily weighing sets us up for a roller coaster ride, sometimes up and sometimes down - but the TREND will be down, and that's what matters! I find the ride easier when I log my daily weights at physicsdiet.com - For example here is my chart for March. Http://physicsdiet.com/Chart.ashx?t=...11-03-31&u=FLT. The display shows my actual weigh in points at the bottom, my "trend line" is the black line at the top of the green section - and the green means I'm trending down. It shows red if you are trending up. I've had plenty of red in my chart since 2007, but I've been ALL GREEN since I started Medifast last summer! That said - notice all the up days? Don't take them seriously so long as the trend is down :-) Have fun scrapbooking! Just think about how much more you'll get done by keeping your hands on the craft and off the off plan stuff. Drink lots of water, and eat your Medifast meals sloooooowly :-). Tkd - I DID miss you! Welcome home! That's AWESOME that you lost 5.3 pounds in your 9 days away. Well done!. Ella - Transition - not maintenance for me yet. I'm loving it so far (and I was SO AFRAID to start!) Hope you get some great sleep! Also - ROFL on your FB posting. I don't believe anyone that announces on April 1- but as you say, with that many kids I bet some of your friends believed you!. Mia - Good for you on making smart adjustments. 4&2 was always even lower in carbs than 5&1 was for me too. My body liked the extra calories every time I did it, so long as I didn't get sodium heavy of course. I'm trying to talk DH into 4&2 for real because he just can't get his groove on with 5&1 - keeps cheating like crazy.. EMT - Great WHOOOSH today! 0.8 is awesome, and so nice to not be ticker chasing :-D Have fun tonight!!. Katie - Happy Geeking! Nice that they are willing to work with you and the low-carb fellow. That's great :-). Cathy - have a great time with all the baseball this weekend. Mean ol' blackjack was teasing you this morning - but you'll be into that new decade any second now!. Sue - Glad to see you, and sorry to hear that you are having a crampy TOM this time around. Hang in there! At least yours aren't always nasty. LOL on your DH's joke on his family.. I'm hoping to do a little studying today (we'll see if I manage it or not) and then getting together with some other students for a group study session tomorrow. Our first exam in Pediatrics is on Monday.. Cheers to all,.. |
Sue.
I am petrified of flying and have never been flying with him. His work helicopter I'm not allowed on anyway even if I watned (the Marine Corps frowns on extra people in the airftcraft) and he can fly small planes but I refuse to fly in anything smaller than my van. I have Xanax to make the flight to Cali and also the two stories about planes yesterday are not making me feel better (one had 4 people pass out and lost cabin pressure and the other the ceiling OPENED UP!!! only one person was hurt but still I'd walk the rest of the way if I needed to and had been on that plane). Ethel. I know it's transition, I think waking up at 545 am clouded my posting. Have fun studying, that's what my dh is up to today too. Partially for flying and partially for the class he's taking (a fun one all about war planning).. |

Good Morning Everyone! First, I just want to thank those who wished me a happy 20th anniversary w/ DH. We had a great meal at the beach last night, and I survived it as best I could..
Bruno was gracious and gave me -1.8 for the week (Saturday weigher).. As always, everyone on this thread inspires me, makes me laugh, and brings me back day after day, because you're all WONDERFUL! Thank you for being YOU!. Have a great weekend!.. |
Hello all,.
Call me Dora since there is already a Karen here. And my scale is named Bolt.. It sounds like everyone has a busy weekend planned.. Dora.. |
I am still at the geekworld.
So food wise it has been ok. I had a salad at lunchtime that they brought me. Dinner was Mexican, I took some chicken and beef but it tasted gross so I put it in the trash. Last year I would have eaten it anyhow. I just didn't like it, so why eat it? I have some food with me to supplement... |
Well back from my running date and out of the shower...now just enough time to pretty-up for HHP! Running date went well, he did push me a bit, but I surprised myself by keeping up pretty well! Now to make it through tonight! On to date #2! ((HUGS))..
ROFLOL... you guys are fun!!!.
Ethel... blame it on Anna... ROFLOL... still, Transition OR Maintenance... you're doing great!! Transition has got to be interesting... I'm looking forward to the day I get to try it out!!. EMT... 2 dates in one day, girl... suh-weet!! That is so cool and I'm so happy you're having a good time.. Katie, good for you for dumping stuff you didn't like anyway.. PJ, Hugs and smiles!!. Sue and Anna.... hello, please send some of that "TOM" magic this way. I'd even gladly take your cramps, Sue! I hate the wait... |
What a day you're having!!! We can't wait to hear what you decided to wear!..
The one guy sitting with me saw my face when eating it. He is like you don't like it do you. I am like no I am full, he is like, no you don't like it. Yup, don't like it..
I just think my taste has changed some and I don't feel like I have to finish it all just because it is there... |
Hello everyone! Looks like this is a pretty active group! I feel no shame around all of you..
To answer the Wii question - my favorite is all the silly games on Fit, Resort and all the other assorted games I have. Boxing is always fun. Helps me warm up for my Slam Man (more on that later.) For Wii punishment - I use My Fitness Coach. It made me realize just how out of shape I am. During the setup process, my little wonderful digital fitness coach thought it would be a great idea to test my fitness levels so she could set up my starting point. Well, the old mountain climber, repeller, white water rafter, runner, weight lifter and jet skier couldn't make it through the set up. I may call my scale "Really", but I call that little digital princess "Screw You!" I have made it through the set up (took me 3x) and although her name hasn't changed, she isn't laughing as much.. Slam Man - aka Bob the Slob (my ex's name was Bob.) This is more fun then a Wii could every be and a wonderful workout. I wasn't sure I was going to love boxing training, but I LOVE IT. Talk about getting a great upper body and torso workout. And you definitely feel it in your butt and legs too! By the end of the workout, I am tired, dripping in sweat and everytime I hit it, I think of Bob "the Slob" with a silly grin on my face. I even put a baseball hat on him to get a more realistic picture. Here is what I am talking about :. Http://www.fitnessquest.com/slamman/slam_man1.htm. Really? and I had a long talk this morning before we became one and he knew what he needed to say. Down 1.8 pounds! Really? lives another day!. I made it through making my famous spaghetti tonight for the family. I only took a teaspoon to make sure I seasoned properly and I was perfectly ok with that. The cheese bread is my weakness, but once again, success was mine! While they all ate my most wonderful and favorite meal of all time, I ate Beef Vegetable Stew spiced up with green Tabasco. Hmmm yumm!. I tend to ramble so I will leave room for everyone else. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!. Karen.. |

From what I see, you are missing the square bracket at the beginning and the end of your code. The code needs to have matching beginning and endings - like parenthesis - except the end has a slash.
Stick a [ at the beginning of the code before IMG] and a ] at the end after [/IMG.... So it looks like .. |
Back from date number 2...I took a picture of the "date outfit" but will have to look for the cord to hook the camera up to the computer in the morning since the memory card wasn't in when I took the picture...oops! The CCT/running date was fun, but the HHP/party was well, HOT! I think I may have to go out with both of them AT LEAST a couple more times before I could even think of deciding..
That's if either of them calls me back. I got GREAT vibes from both. (and helo-boy can KISS!) WOW! ((HUGS)).. |
Hi DWers,.
Trickster was kind this morning, down 0.4 to 158.6!. I went shopping all day yesterday! I used to hate shopping, but it is so much fun now! I bought a couple of winter jackets on clearance yesterday, size small. They were snug but zipped and buttoned, so I figured at goal they should fit next year (and if they are still snug, I can resell them on ebay and get out of them what I paid). I also bought a couple of cute lightweight jackets for this time of year on sale, size medium (they look much better than the extra-large I have been wearing). I was looking for a dress to wear for Easter but ended up buying two because I couldn't decide and they both looked good! The biggest shocker was the pair of dress pants I bought. My size 12s have been loose, so I tried on a 10 and they were also loose, so just for "giggles" I tried on an 8 and they fit perfectly!! From an 18 to an 8! Jeans fit differently, so I definitely cannot wear size 8 jeans yet but I will get there!. EMT - How exciting about your dates! Weight loss sure does open up a whole new world, eh?. Make it a great day, everyone!.. |
Tb.
It also looks to me like you're missing our opening and closing brackets. Karen. Good job on eating your stew not the delicious you made. Also good job on the WHOOSH!. EMT. The dates sounds lovely. .. Jodi. Good for you! It is getting more fun to shop. Phrog is holding steady at 182, fine with me with TOM here in full force today. Maybe tomorrow or maybe next week I'll get a whoosh... |
Good Morning. Today is sunday but my saturday. I work 4 10hour shifts and today is my first day to put my feet up. I still get up at 3 am though, body just wont sleep late. Truth has me down .8 today and I am .2 away from being where I was before I messed up. I consider these redemptive punds and not woosh's haha but I am thankful for them. great job on all the loses and thanks for helping with the IMG..

Good Morning Everyone!!!.
Hope you are enjoying April!!! It's still a bit cold here in the great NE but the forecast looks very springy... warmer temps and lots of rain... I planted some spring bulbs last year so I'm excited to see if they come up this year!! I have whatever the opposite of a green thumb is but I do enjoy planting things and having a nice lawn so I'm really looking forward to summer.. Today is my official WI day and I'm down 1.8 to 176.6.. GM. Tbzona. - good job keeping on plan. put your mistakes behind you and look to a future happier, skinner, healthier you!! Keep your eye on the prize!!!. Anna. - sounds like you have some stubborn water just holding on and refusing to leave! I'm sure when TOM is gone you'll get your whoosh and then some!!. Jodi. - I love your post!! Size 8!! WOW.. That is terrific!!! You've done such a great job on this plan and I love that you're getting the rewards of it!! I am pushing it on my size 14 pants now.. they fit enough to stay up although I am pulling them up constantly... I don't have anything smaller left in the closet anymore so I'll have to invest in some new clothes soon.. EMT. - you hot mama!!! I am so happy that you had two great dates!!! I bet that gives you extra motivation and satisfaction!!!! Can't wait to see the pics!!! I'm sitting here thinking of what Bruno on DWTS would say to you!!! WOW, he would be impressed!! That guy cracks me up!!. Karen. - ramble on!! I love your post! I too love my wii. And I'm totally with you on the starting point.. The wii fit program I have measures your real age and I'm still in my 60s! Even though I'm really 42. But when I started was in the high 70s so I'm improving.. We just got some dance game and zumba for it. I've only tried them once but there was a lot of cursing going on!!. You reminded me that we bought my daughter a punching bag a few years ago and it still sitting on the floor in the box in the basement.. You've inspired me to get it put up today!!!. Well that's all I can see in the advanced mode for shout outs!!. Hope everyone has a great on plan day!!!.. |
Morning Ladies,.
Another day of coding ahead. We are doing a good thing for these charities so it is nice but a exhausting weekend.. Ms. B is back down to 166 but I feel so blah. To much soda, not enough sleep etc. I had to switch over to coffee since soda was giving me a blech after taste. I have drank plenty of water but still to much soda. Thankfully I have resisted all the goodies here so that is a good thing! They had hershey bars that I could have embibed in because when I am tired that is when the danger lights go off.. I will be glad when my eating, drinking, sleeping schedule is back to normal!. Well back to coding!.. |
Hi DW'ers!.
"Live" had me down another .8 today!! Woo Hoo. 223.3. I'm loving it. So, I've decided that the Medifast guidance of 30 to 45 mins of exercise daily IS actually just right for me. It doesn't seem overwhelming, I WILL do it, and it is bringing me tremendous losses. I can't wait to get back to the Y today. Karen - Slam Man looks like a lot of fun. My boys have been in taekwondo since they were five years old. They're both 18 (almost 19) and 21 now. I've often thought of joining TKD (thus my username here) for many years, but don't have the best knees in the world. Boxing may be a better alternative. I've noticed how much some of the contestants really love it on the Biggest Loser. There's zumba for Wii now?? Gotta check that out for sure!. Anna - Phrog needs a kick in the pants! When I was staying the same for about five days in a row, a friend suggested an all shake day. I did it, and sure enough had a breakthrough the very next day. TOM will probably take care of it but you might consider the all shake day if needed.. Good job on the losses everyone!! Hang in there... |
Tracey.
, thanks for the suggestion but I can't drink the shakes, they have lactose in them and I am very sensitive. I didn't catch on until I had tried a couple of all shake days and ended up all day in pain. It's b/c TOM is here, it'll come off. I went back and checked my calendar , I have my smallest losses the week I get my TOM and tend to lose around 3-4 lbs the following week.. |
Good morning DWs! Wow everyone has been posting away this month so far!! Had to totally catch up! Welcome all new members and oo la la all the dating going on!!.
I'm down to 259.2, but have a touch of a tummy bug so not sure it will hold but here is hoping!! Haven't seen the 250s in almost 10 years!!. Have a great Sunday everyone!!.. |
Good morning, DW's!!.
WoW!! I have a lot of catching up to do.....it seems like I'm always the last to post...I guess that's what I get for living on the West Coast.... Karen...Great job on your loss from yesterday's post!!! I got a kick out of Bob "the slob"...how funny!! Good for you for making the right decision regarding your spaghetti dinner. I too make my world famous spaghetti sauce and it's hard to resist, but I keep having to tell my inner brat that no, means no!!. EMT...Sounds like you had a great date with both guys on both dates. I can't wait to see your pictures!. Jodi...Good job on your loss! Sounds like you had a great shopping experience. Holy Cow on going from an 18 to an 8...you are truly an inspiration.. Tb...Yay for your loss and almost catching up!! You'll get there!. Katies...Awesome loss for you too! I find that if I drink too much soda I feel blah too and the sodium in it usually stalls my losses for a day or two, so I try not drink so much of it now.. Tkd...Great WHOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!. Kc...I'm sorry you aren't feeling well...I do hope your loss stays so you can kiss that old decade goodbye!. Anna...you need to kick phrog in the booty before you get on him next....show him who's boss!! lol. BlackJack dealt me a .4 loss and I weighed in this morning at 179.6. Did you all read that....179.6!!!!!!! I can't tell you the last time I weighed 179.6. I can't keep saying it. WoW...179.6!!! I reached a new decade...finally (seems like it took forever to get here). I just can't believe I saw 179.6 pop up on BlackJack this morning. Woo Hoo!!!. Have a great Sunday everyone!!.. |
Hi everyone! Wow...so many updates! What a busy weekend!! Yay to all of you with losses!.
Oh brother! TOM, soy sauce, and advil are the evil triplet sisters! Can you believe I'm actually SIX pounds over my ticker this morning? What a major drag. I have 4 days before official....all I can say is I better be in the bathroom a LOT over the next 4 days dropping this water. Cross your fingers for me!.. |
CMC I have cut WAY back but the last three days I have been up many hours working at this GiveCamp. I either drink soda or eat something I shouldn't..
I am surrounded by food here. They have everything you can imagine for this food choice here. Today they are bringing me salad so that is a good thing. I will just be happy to have a solid nights sleep.. I have enjoyed myself though so it was worth it. I just realized this weekend how much of a technology vacuum I am in at work. I have so many things to learn about what I am doing that we just can't do at work. SO my new goal for education wise is to learn as much as I can and do work on the side to do more. Do the boring stuff at work but grow my skills outside of work... |
Cathy.
You've had a great week if you are down that much from your ticker!!!. Sue. I hope your water all goes bye bye by Thursday!. Katie. Glad you're enjoying yourself and that you get a salad today.. Eric and I just looked at houses now he's off to surf and I'm off to get a new battery for my son's cell phone... |
For me it's 4 pounds over ticker today! But my evil triplets are Advil, ToM and the diet sodas I had last night. (first ones in over 4 months) I know it'll come right back off....with lots of water and bathroom breaks!.
I read all the posts....YAY for all! No shout outs right now, sorry, I'm cooking a migraine. Lights and Computer are getting turned off, and I'm going to bed for a couple hours to try to nip it in the bud! ((HUGS)) to all!.. |
Although Really? and I had another long talk this morning, nothing changed. There was a glimmer of hope, but then I just realized my foot wasn't all the way on. Oh well, it's all good. I'm down 17 from 5 weeks ago and that ain't nothing to be upset about. One pound at a time ladies. One pound at a time..
Last night I decided that I was lookin' hot. So hot, that I went into my closet and pulled out my skinny jeans. Much to my surprise, they fit and I even had room to breathe. NO MUFFIN TOP! Another pair of pants that I haven't worn since 2006 caught my eye. Slipped them on. TOO BIG! Ahhhhh. My health coach suggested that I go to WalMart and get the Golds Gym slimming/exercise shorts. Those are the ones that make you sweat and aide in reducing the wide load signage on that back side. Got 'em on and now and now I feel like I can take on "Bob the Slob" with more fury then ever before. Black tight gym short, wife beater tank, ponytail, boxing gloves! I'm a sight for sore eyes - but man - I am beautiful and hot! Really, hot. These shorts are making me sweat!. Lisa - get that boxing bag up! It's so much fun and a good overall body workout. Helps to relieve stress too!. TKD - I understand on the kicking part. Bad knees here too. Check into boxing though. If you go to the Y or something, or even a boxing bag or a slam man alternative, you can start at your own level and pace. It is such a break from the repetative workout videos and all those digital princesses telling you "come on...you can do just 8 more!". Congrats to everyone's victories on the weight thing. We will always go up, and we will always go down. Take it day by day and remember we are all here together heading in the right direction. One day at a time...one pound at a time. Whatever it takes to become our healthy selves... |
Mom's goose is dressed for Easter, Sue, the pic is for you. As you can see she's wearing a high collar - helps cover the scar till I can paint it. Need some orange paint for her beak/bill whatever you call it. It's still all skinned up. Looks like concrete herpes! LMAO..
Hello DWs~.
It was a tough 1st week for me. Yikes! I still managed to lose 1.6 lbs, so no complaints really. I really need to work on my "state of mind", and not give in into temptation.. Welcome to our new DW members!. Happy Sunday!.. |
Wow, this is a busy thread! Happy to see the losses posted..
I did not weigh this am. Tomorrow I am going to start weighing every AM on the Wii (along with stepping on my bathroom scale, Bolt). I used to LOVE seeing the weight graph dropping and I need to see it again... |
I have not posted in awhile. I have been having a lot of digestive problems gas, constipation.
& daily stomach pain. This has gone on for 2 weeks now & I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I was considering going to see my Dr but don't want to go if Medifast diet is all it is. I felt so good at first just some gas & that was easy to ignore but the stomach pain isnt.. June.. |
Churchill held me steady today. No complaints about that and since I no longer have to worry about TOM, no worries there...
Tyke.
How many bars are you eating? they have sugar alcohols in them and some people are very sensitive. Also, I am lactose intolerant and can not do the shakes... |
I am eating on average 1 bar a day. I will try not eating the bars for a few days & see if that helps. thanks..
Hi DWers,.
Wow - we are busy posters this weekend, eh!? EMT and Sue, hang in there on the ticker chasing. Lots of water and lots of peeing will set you both right, as you already mentioned :-D Go, go, urination team! I had a lot of caffeine earlier (something I don't normally have) and I spent the whole day peeing. I'm not sure what the scale will say tomorrow (official weigh-in day) but if it is down I bet I"ll be ticker chasing all of next week because of the rebound after, LOL.. I'm just back from the gym - took a break from study to go and work out just before they closed (they close at 7:30pm on Saturday and Sunday). DH didn't want to go, but I decided to go instead of run at home - their treadmills allow me to use my ipod AND watch the closed captioned TVs at the same time (good distraction!).. I've got an exam tomorrow - our first for the Pediatrics class. Well wishes are welcome!. Oh, and Wideload had me down a smidgen today - to 3 pounds below my goal weight. NOT complaining!. Cheers,.. |
Just getting to bed finally, busy night!.
I'll probably not be checking in this morning....see y'all after work and maybe a nap! lol ((HUGS)).. |
Ethel.
Good look on your exam. EMT. Get some rest. Phrog finally got a clue and I whooshed right down. 2 lbs to 180.2. (I briefly saw 179.8, hopefully tomororw). Today is official weigh in day and I'm at 3 lbs for the week!.. |
Morning all, well I am feeling better - physically. Buddy has me back up a pound so I'm back into the 260s.
I'm at 260.2, really hoping I can break back down into the 250s tomorrow.. Hope everyone has an OP and safe day!.. |
Good Morning DW's.
Truth has me down .8 this morning with an all time low for me of 162.6.. I am below 28 BMI so it feels like a milestone lol. have a great day today staying OP.. |
Happy Monday~.
Quick fly by- more tonight!. BAM! has me down 1.2 lbs this morning. Woohooo!. Have a great day everyone!.. |
Anna - CONGRATS on the WHOOSH. To see the 170's even for a moment is AWESOME!!!.
I was up 1.5 this morning. Exercise, no water pill, hamburger meat (93/7), and cream cheese probably created a perfect storm. Will just trust the program to get me back down.. Have a great OP day! HUGS!.. |
Kcc.
I'm glad you're feeling better and you know it'll come back off.. Tb. Yippee you are doing great!. Wind. WHOOSH. Tkd. You are doing awesome, already almost 60 lbs in 12 weeks! You know it'll come back off... |
Morning DWers.
Sorry I never made it back to yesterdays' thread. Congrats to all who lost.. Phrog is still holding at. 182. , my TOM should be starting in the next day or two so that's what I'm blaming. I leave in just over a week; here's to finding a house while I'm there... |
