Quick question: Preparing (detoxifying) your body for a Nutrisystem diet: What is commonly used? Thanks for any answer. My 2nd question... I am starting Monday. What are some of the best stuff that I should start with on my first day? I am looking for the most filling stuff and tastey stuff as I want to start off really having a great first few days.. |

I'm stumped. I'm not so sure what is the answer to that question. I'll do some research and get back to you if I bump into an answer. You should email the people at Nutrisystem as they probably can answer it..

So cruel..
Change your mindset from "tasty stuff" to "best for me stuff" A big key is to stop equating food with pleasure. That is how a lot of over-eating occurs... |

Oh, that will get things moving in more ways than one. I think it is all filling, especially when you include the added vegetables, protein, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, etc..
Do yourself a favor and visit the Recipe club and the food talk tips board and read what others are doing and recipes they have. When I started I wish I was aware of those as it took me about a week to find. I was just opening items, cooking by directions and was a bit disappointed as they can be enhanced easily really making the meal look nice and taste even better.. Every item that comes in paper cup, I take out of cup and cook right in a small saucepan on stove, world of difference... |

I like the scones with my morning black coffee. Pancakes with fresh blueberries are great..
Beef Vegetable soup and cheesey potatos are my lunch favorites.. For dinner I really like the chicken and dumplings and the lasagne.. Snacks.... Brownie is good, chocolate chip cookie is pretty good, my favorite is the nutri crunch bar, tastes very similar to a nestle crunch. 310 1-6-09. 293 2-6-09. Jef.. |

Really it doesn't matter. You'll be trying a lot of different dishes till you find the ones you like, may as well pick something you traditionally like..
Beef Vegetable soup is my favorite for lunch, but the pasta and beef is excellent as well.. Dinner time I find I really like the beef dishes. The Beef and potato wedges are great. I also really like the Burgers.. Snacks, well the brownie and the oatmeal cookie are big winners in my book... |

I won't try to describe all my meals, but breakfast for me is like this:.
I start most weekdays with a scone, lemon poppyseed muffin or breakfast bar.. I add in a yogurt, cup of strawberries or madrin oranges and a slice of multigrain bread. Then, I drink 1.5 liters of water as I drive to the office.. On the weekends I sometimes make an egg type dish out of Nutrisystem eggs or egg beaters.. But, as others say...you'll be trying a lot of different things until you find what works for you. If you find yourself not feeling full, drink some more water...that does wonders to fill you up.. There are also some "free foods" you can drop in. For example now sometimes at night I treat myself to a sugarfree fudgecicle or popcicle... |

Remember to use the meal planner that comes with each order. It tells you what you can eat. Don't exceed what it allows for you..
Because of the high fiber content of almost all Nutrisystem non-perishable foods, the plan helps a lot to curb hunger between meals. Drink the required amount of water, stop drinking diet soda or anything else not pure H2O, and after a couple weeks your between meal hunger cravings will go away.. Especially if you want them to. Did I say drink water? LOTS of water?.. |
|
A teaspoon of oil is all that is allowed per day on the plan..

If you cook enough vegis for four days, a Tbls of oil can be your fat. Put the rest in the fridge and microwave as needed...
