CHARLY - If you are happy about billing days, I am too. LOL I cannot believe it is March already. Talked to Lawrence, the fellow staying in our house, there is supposed to be another 2 feet of snow this week....I don't think we will be able to get home until July 4th. LOL.

The day here started out so beautiful and it was warm and sunny. Now the sky is filled with thick clouds that are dark and the wind is starting to build and the temps have gone down 10 degrees in less than 30 minutes. Time to close up windows and doors..

The Cardinal pair are at the feeders again. I put out a couple of cut oranges for them this morning. I have tried to get pictures, but they are very skiddish of any human movement. We have observed many different birds here this past month. They love the food and the water Roger put out for them..

See you all later tonight...

Good Afternoon!.

Hi Charly and NA, March is marching in like a ?? Cool and rainy here today..

Opening day out at Space Coast Stadium, the one day I let Patrick miss school..

They went and had a good time..

Went to the barn just to groom and visit with Peanut and other riders..

A new yearling is coming to live at the barn, a little paint baby, I can't wait..

Scale finally moved, down 3 pounds in one big woosh as they say. Thank heavens!.

I go to get bloodwork and check up n the morning just for my piece of mind..

Waving at all of you, Tuesday has come and almost gone. Hump day tomorrow!..

12 days till day light savings.

That makes my day.

Other then that just plugging along.

Go Charly on the extra day.

NA I put out a bird feeder but haven't seen any at it yet, not even seeds on the ground. They must be blind here LOL Although the doves have left a huge pile of carp down the side of my tree, but no nest. I think they just sit in the tree till we go out the door so they can scare the hades out of us.

Patti wooot woot wooot on the scale and new baby sounds like too much fun..

It does not bode well that today, after 2 weeks of wind, is just barely breezy. Will keep the plastic over my window for at least another month or maybe 2 the dust is a gunna be a blowin.

One hour left guess I'll get a little more work done.

Yea right..

Monica - yea, I wouldn't pull that plastic down until I seen it 'sweat' from the sun (LOL).

NA - wow, that's a lot more snow, I'm tired of all the snow/cold.

It was bright sunny out yesterday but still chilly. Rob went to the company doctor he cannot return to work until 14-April due to Ohio Dept of Transportation laws you have to wait 2 months of date of heart attack, revisit the physician, get clearance then you go back to work..

PATTI - What fun having a youngster in the barn. You will have him spoiled rotten for sure. LOL.

MONICA - Roger made frames that fit our windows several years ago....the frames are covered with plastic. It not only keeps the cold out, but I discovered the house does not get so dusty, so left them up all the time. How is that for lazy. LOL..

OK, where is everyone. The last post was mine on the 3rd..

We leave in the morning for our trip north to home. we have the rec vehicle and car on the trailer, everything is stowed where it will be safe and all we have to do is unhook the electricity and water tomorrow and we will be on our way. We hope to leave here just after sun up. It will be nice to be traveling West. We will stop at our favorite funky restaurant for breakfast then head west on Hwy 10. Our stop tomorrow will be in Indio, CA to see friends who live there, and then it will be on north the next day..

Hope all is well with everyone. Hugs, NA.

I had a nice note from Jan who wanted to meet up with me when she was in Ashland. Darn, I won't be home in time. But we ae going to try to get together before she leaves Portland in August...

We are in Valencia, CA for a couple of nights. Nice little park, cool breezes and our friends from Burbank are driving up tonight for dinner. We could not find a RV park in their area that could accommodate us with our total 52 foot length. We are about 30 miles North of Burbank..

We will head north tomorrow, stopping in my home town of Visalia to have lunch with a classmate and her husband, and then on to brother Lloyd in Merced..

There is a large fenced in dog yard here, so Sage is happy having a place to run and play...if she is happy and tired, I am happy and NOT tired. LOL Hugs, NA..

I don't know how you feel about herbicides, but Roundup will do a number on those guys right down through the roots. It takes awhile to see results though. They die show..

The big ones - - water the heck out of the yard, put on a good pair of gloves and pull them up from the middle. Wish I were there. I would love to help you aniliate (SP?) those. LOL..

NA-LOL!!! Your posts were cracking me up!.

Glad you are on your way back and you, Roger and Sage are doing well. Valencia is beautiful.. My cousin used to live there. Also, driving from NorCal to SoCal, it was a welcome sight coming over the grapevine. =D.

Monica - I have never heard of Goad(t)s head before.. but I am assuming it is a weed. LOL!.

What colors are you painting with? Or are you just doing a fresh coat?.

Crazy news about the Quake in Japan and the Tsunami!!! Just insane..

Doing good here. So is the Pea... She had her first fencing bout today and did really good!!! Next week, Ryan will get to see and since he likes to use the video camera, he can be in charge of that..

Wow! those are gnarly!! Do they get hard and dry and fall off? Because if they do, I think we had those in my backyard when I was growing up. I remember playing in the back barefoot and I got some stuck in my foot and I remember I was crying for my mom or someone to help me..LOL...and I remember the neighbor behind us (who actually had goats, funny enough) was either telling me to go inside or be quiet or something..LOL... and finally I stopped crying, figured no one was going to help me and I sucked it up and pulled them out myself and went in the house. They were little round ball thorny things. And that the weed grows out flat like that made me remember that..

Anyhow..LOL!....I cna see why you'd want to get rid of those things.. yeck!.

NA.... I think Ryan should be home for at least a year to a year and a half. =D Moving time is coming up in the future... can you believe that St Patty's day will be our 2 year mark here already?! I can't! We should have another year here and then who knows. LOL @ making the dorm man friendly.. hee hee! Yes that sticker does dry out and splits, the one in the picture will split into 5 different stickers. One of the bad things about living in the desert, everything has spines. Between goatheads, sand spurs and another weed that looks kind of pretty till it drys out, so I didn't worry to much about it.

He is going to take 2 weeks off towards the end of April when Natty has spring break and my sister comes to visit. That will be lots of fun. =D.

NA, I will for sure post a pic when we are all back together. As for the transition, we stick to our routine and Ryan observes and finds his way back in the groove. It really works for us. Breaking routine is what causes the problems. We don't do the dramatic stuff, with the great big homecoming and all that, it's too much tension and anxiety for all of us because nothing ever goes as planned. We did make him a banner for the house..

I have to hang it up tomorrow. I hope it doesn't rain..

Snow and more snow. Typical 'spring' in the Klamath Basin..

We will leave Merced tomorrow and head home. There is a nice RV park on the north side of Redding, CA and we will stay there waiting for a weather window to slip in home. We only need three hours from there to be at our door..

Wish us luck. We really are wanting to get home. Sage needs some normal steady parts to her life. Time for a routine and training sessions on home ground..

Nice long slow rain in Merced last night and today. The valley needs this moisture and it made for great sleeping last night..

Have any of you heard of the 17 day diet. My niece and her new husband are on that diet and they are doing well. Niece does not really need to diet, she is tall, but likes to stay under 160. She is at 150 and that is all she needs to go. Hubby is chubby and will stay on the diet. He is doing well.

We are stuck in Redding, CA. There is so much snow on I-5 going north, that we cannot get over the hill. IF we could get to Weed, we would be fine as the snow is less going toward Oregon. But they won't let anyone past 10 miles north of Redding without chains and there is no way we will put chains on a motor home and drive. So we are tucked up safe and warm for $33.00 a day. The north west is getting hammered with rain and snow. Even my dad sent me a picture text with snow in Concord! and not just on Mt. Diablo! My friend in Sacramento says the river is getting close to full on flooding. It's scary..

Charly, I have been wondering how the BC is going! I know you guys are getting some gnarly snow and rain too. I know Ali will be glad she isn't home this week. LOL!! Hopefully she is getting a tan and warmth where she is and having a good time. =D Have fun with the 17 day diet!.

We are enjoying Ryan being home. he is doing half days this week as part of their re-integration process... they all had to meet one on one with the psych doc yesterday. They are doing a good job of taking care of their guys. Spring has certainly sprung here and it is nasty with pollen outside. I should have taken a picture of the car yesterday.

The whole town is covered in a pollen dust and the air is thick with it. We all take allergy medicine regularly, so it isn't bad.. I just can't let the cat out on the porch because she rolls on the concrete and the pollen+her cat fur=death by allergies for me. LOL!!! Not that bad, but it's my worst reaction. LOL We had some rain last night and it wasn't enough to wash it away, unfortunately, but it was enough to make it cake everywhere.

And it falls in line with my WW points perfectly. The best part of it is, he is teaching me how to make my meals, which breakfast, snacks and lunch is easy but I rally hate to cook healthy dinners and he likes it.. so he is in charge of dinners and I have to say he is doing a damn good job! I clean up for him. It's a very good system. He already has next week planned out.

One thing I've really noticed is that I can't leave the house or go into a store without thinking of buying a snack or candy or something to eat. Going out in town, I immediately think of getting a drink or snack somewhere. It's part of the habit. It's really hard to NOT get something. I never noticed it so much before. But it is glaringly apparent now.

Somehow that makes me feel better. LOL. So anytime we leave the house, I just keep thinking.. SATURDAY SATURDAY.... LOL! And I know that I think now I will eat everything, but when it comes down to it, I know I won't.

That is my dream home..

That should say it all. HA HA HA HA!!!.

Ryan is a salt/savory person, so it's funny because our "off day treats" are total opposites HA HA HA!.

They don't eat like that when he is away... he started it when he started doing Crossfit when we first moved to NC. The trainer there got him into it, and he did really well. He lost fat that he has never been able to lose since I have known him. Part of it is the Crossfit, but a larger part of it is doing the Zone. He did Crossfit while he was gone, but he still gained 10 lbs.

So far I have had no headache or feeling bad, but I have more energy. The hard part of the day is making sure I eat in the morning, which is ready to go, and thank god I can have my regular coffee with cream and sugar, just half the sugar I usually use. =D Still tasty and it gets me going. So far, so good! I'll keep you updated..

And NA, that is totally how I feel when I go out in town.. exactly! I was telling Ryan that I am afraid I will never NOT feel that "urge". But what you said gives me hope..

I am freezing. Sage has been digging to China again and since the ground is so wet, she gets very muddy. She is having lots of fun, but I have to take the hose and wash those large feet before she can come back inside. Talk about cold. LOL.

Pray all is well with you lovely ladies. NA..

We cut down 9 Juniper trees today. They will be out wood supply for the next 2 to 3 years. These trees had grown from little to really big in the 30 years we have been here and were completely blocking our view of the valley So now we have an unobstructed view of Mt. Shasta and Round Mountain and Sheepy Ridge to the SouthWest of us. We will never get back our view to the direct south. Those trees are just too wonderful to take down.

They were just to the south of us and ugly to look at..

I have coffee hour tomorrow at church and there are 7 dozen cookies on my counter called me. LOL So far I have resisted, but I did see Roger sneak on..

Happy April to your all. Did any of you get caught on April Foods Day? I forgot all about it...
