Drink the water.
Track what you eat (online or paper planner). Forgive yourself if you have a slip up and get right back on plan. If you would be discouraged and give up if you didnt see a weight loss every single day then weight yourself only once a week (same day, same time every week). Use the boards for advice and support. Dont worry if you find some foods that you do not like, you can avoid them by updating your monthly autoship to only include things you like. Drink the water. Good luck.. |

Mike, I think you are getting the message about the water. In addition I would add measure your add ins for a week or two so that you get your eye calibrated on serving sizes. Good Luck. It can be a very rewarding journey. JT..

The easiest way I've found to drink the water is to buy a 32 oz bottle and keep it around. Finish the first one by the middle of the day, and fill it up again. I've got one at home and one at work, so on work days, I drink one each..
Remember that it took a while to get those 100 pounds on, so it's going to take a while to get them off.. So far I've been pleasantly surprised by how good most of the food is. I hope you are, too... |

Welcome to the program and good luck..
Make sure you drink plenty of water, which is key to the program. The suggested amount of water is the minimum you need to help get rid of fat.. Give yourself a week to detoxify from your old eating habits and let your body get used to the new way of eating every few hours. As you progress you will adjust your meal spacing to keep the cravings away.. Make sure you read the Makeover book that will help you understand the internal and external hunger feelings you might have.. Don't forget about the free foods, they will help you get through cravings between meals. Soon you will be finding yourself making large salads because you can eat lettuce freely but be careful of the dressings. Make sure you measure out the dressing or just put it in a separate container and dip your fork in the dressing then pick up the lettuce.. Spend time searching through the threads in the MEN'S ROOM they are very helpful.. Hope this helps; I am not a pro at this... |

Www.thedailyplate.com. - you will find nutrition info on your add-ins as well as restaurant, fast food and mall eateries. Once you do searches about the foods you used to eat and want to eat that are not on the program, you will realize the bad choices you used to make. If your going to out and know in advance where you will be dining, see if that restaurant has a website with their menu and nutrition info. Uno's Chicago Grill has a great site where their menu is broken down into categories such as "under 500 Calories" "less than 750 mg of sodium" "greater than 5g of Dietary Fiber" etc.( Just be aware that the serving size is 2 not 1) The 2 I have been to had a computer with the nutrition page pulled up so you can choose your meal before you sit down... |

The thread by Bella Vita Boy is a great place to start.. If you follow the plan and drink the water, I don't think you can fail.. One of the things that I believe also will lead to success is to understand that this is not just a diet, but a life change.. You need to take control of your food instead of it controlling you. Actually, depends on whose driving the wagon. Personally, I would stop the wagon, put it in reverse and back over you. Nothing personal, it's just that Nutrisystem hasn't helped me resolve my road rage issues...
