Got a quick question: How much can you eat on the Medifast Diet? Thanks for any comment. 2nd question I got is.. Diamonds in the Rough. |
That's a good question. I'm not sure what is the right answer to your question. I'll do some poking around and get back to you if I bump into an good answer. You should email the people at Medifast as they probably can help you..

Good Morning Diamonds!.
Joyce ~ Thank you for getting November's roll call up! I appreciate the time you spend to keep us current each month.. Hope you have a wonderful Monday!. Linda ~ You are in surgery as I write... I'm visualizing you in a bubble of healing blue light, dancing in your stunning red heels! Prayers & good thoughts coming your way today.. Barbara ~ Yippee, you are at 25 pounds!!!! Celebrate big and the next time you are at the market count out 25 boxes of butter. Gives you a great visual image of how far you've come. Congratulations. Kori ~ I didn't even recognize you in your knew profile pic!!! You are looking sooo good girl! And you've gone from a 3xxx to a med in one year... lets see, each x is 2 sizes, that's like 9 or 10 sizes!!! Holy Toledo Kori, you are rocking this program!!!! So jealous that you are going to Disneyland. I love going as an adult even more then I did as a kid... especially at night. Such a magical place. Have fun!. Christine ~ Ah yes... the joy of cleaning the microwave after your Medifast bubbles over! I'm sending you rapid ketosis vibes. Stay strong and be really gentle with yourself this week. You can do this!. AFM ~ I am getting pretty bored with the hanging out at home thing. I brought lots of work home, but my concentration is pretty limited, so reading & research are not very productive. I'm surprised at how tired I get, I've never been able to nap before, but seem to have acquired this talent of late. I see the doc tomorrow and hopefully will be give driving privileges again. I'm curious to see if my crite has gone up at since I was discharged from the hospital. Our 4 trick-or-treaters last night were absolutely adorable and DH took me for a ride to view the beautiful & scary displays around town.. Life is good and today I am choosing to live every moment of it with gratitude and appreciation!. Have a wonderful OP day my friends!. Sharon.. |
Just a q.. do you have the HTML for the Diamond in th Rough banner? Love to put that in my signature..
Barbara.. |

Quick check in Diamonds! Need to get to bed in a bad way..
Hope everyone's week started off well.. Joyce - Thanks for getting us started each month!. AFM - Going to bed. Going to Disneyland tomorrow. Gonna get my exercise and then some in tomorrow!.. |
Hello all. I kind of "fell off the wagon" for a few weeks, and gained about 7 lbs. But I'm back on 100% again, and riding to and from work on my bike. It was soooooo cold on the way in this morning. Brrr...
If y'all are still taking new members, I'd love to be a part of a group that's got the same goals as I do!..

Good Morning Diamonds!.
The last two weeks have been SUPER Busy, so being able to check in with everyone has seemed impossible. I'm going to try and be more active this month! Halloween was so much fun this year. Since Kori posted her Halloween photo as her new avatar, I decided to change mine as well ... Meow! I have a great group of ladies (several in their late 60's early 70's) I met when I used to work out at Curves (before they closed our location). They are all "Red Hatters". There are three of us that haven't turned 50 yet, so we're "Pink Hatters". These gals are no couch potatoes - they have such a zest for life and stay very busy. For October we decided to dress up and go to our local Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch last Friday. It was so funny because everyone kept wanting to take our pictures. I have pics posted on my page if you're in need of a good laugh. I'm off this morning to my eye doctor appointment, so I will check back in later to give some more personal shout outs!. Have a Wonderful Wednesday,. Joy. Started: 4/5/10. WEEKS (1 - 4): -7, -4, -3, -6 (-20 lbs. & 11"). WEEKS (5 - 8): -2, -3, -2, -3 (-10 lbs. & 8"). WEEKS (9 - 12): -3, -3, -2, ? Good morning!.
Welcome Sassy. We'd love to have you join us.. Joy, good to hear from you. I checked out your pics. You look great, girl!!. Kori, love your new pic too!!. Sharon, hope you're continuing to get well!!. Linda, thinking of you as well!. My scale finally moved just a tad. I'll sure take it! Busy week here. The Museum I work at has a big 3-day historical re-enactment every November and it starts Friday. So I'll have to work outside all weekend and we have a cold front. Figures!! Oh, well, better than being dressed in 1832 Texas attire in 90 degree weather for sure!! Check y'all later. Have a good one... |
Welcome back Mike! Glad to hear you are back at 100%. Sorry it was sooo cold for the bike ride. Southern California weather seems to have not gotten the memo that it is November...It was in the low 90's today and yesterday...
Welcome Sassy! Just join in and start chatting. When I first started, I was on the boards A LOT!....Ok, I am still on here quite a bit. It helps to find out new ways to make the plan work and to keep motivated..
I am Kori, 31, from Southern California. Started Medifast 12/9/09, have lost about 125 lbs since I started, about 25 pounds from goal now...YAY! Special Education teacher, middle school age. No kids, BF lives in Texas. My advice to all people starting out: Make a plan! Always have your food with you so there are no "Surprises". Drink your water...and then drink some more. Come on the boards for support whenever you need it and to share your success stories.. Can't wait to get to "know" you!.. |
Welcome Sassy!.
This is a wonderful group of people, lots of experience, success, good ideas, support & humor. Check in often & ask lots of questions, we're here for you!. I'm an OB RN, married for 31 yrs, two grown kids- 1 still at home. I live in N CA in wine country and have lost 80 pounds.. Sharon.. |
Thank you so much for the welcome! This morning is the beginning of day 4. I'm so excited! I just NEVER realized how many tv shows were about food until I wasn't trying to eat everything. I mean I love the food network, but until I started paying attention, didn't really "realize" how much food stuff was on other channels - yay for an 'off' switch for the tv...
Good morning folks. Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight...
Happy Weekend Diamonds!.
We've been a quiet bunch this week, where are my peeps???? Healthy, happy, & on plan I hope!. Linda ~ I am holding you in healing light and hope your surgery went really well. I'm guessing you are up & moving and doing very, very well!. Mike~ thanks for the reminder... I love the sleep an extra hour, don't like that it's dark when I leave in the morning & dark when I come home. But such is life.. AFM: I'm still working on healing... the blood loss thing is making it a slow progress and I have a new understanding of what it must be like for all those postpartum patients I've sent home to take care of babies with crits equal to mine. Cloudy, cool day... just right for hiding out at home. Take good care my friends!. Sharon.. |
Good Afternoon Diamonds!.
I have to share this with everyone, just in case you hadn't heard - like me!. Supposedly Medifast has re-created the Pretzel sticks. I had no idea and ordered "7" boxes with my order last Monday, because they are my FAVORITES!!! I haven't been on the boards and had no idea they were changing them. When I got them yesterday I was surprised when I saw the new box and packaging. I thought, Woo Hoo now they're even better - NOT! They taste stale and dry - YUCK! They are lighter and fluffier which I don't prefer and now they contain wheat (which is a weight loss inhibitor!). Oh well, I have "49" bags of them to eat, which I will. Maybe they will grow on me, but somehow I doubt it. Joy. Started: 4/5/10. WEEKS (1 - 4): -7, -4, -3, -6 (-20 lbs. & 11"). WEEKS (5 - 8): -2, -3, -2, -3 (-10 lbs. & 8"). WEEKS (9 - 12): -3, -3, -2, ? (-8 lbs. & 6") out of town week 12 & no scale. WEEKS (13-16): -5, -1, -3, -2 (-11 lbs. & 5"). WEEKS (17-20): -2, -3, -2, -2 (-9 lbs. & 7"). WEEKS (21-24): -0, -2, -2, -3 (-7 lbs. & 9"). WEEKS (25-28): -2, -0, -4, -2 (-8 lbs. & 7"). WEEKS (29-32): -2, -2. 4/5/10 - - - - - - 8/23/10.. |
That extra hour was nice. But of course the drawback is that it will be dark by 5:30 PM..
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Was excited to be down another 4 lbs.. every lil bit makes a big bit..
Linda, I wish you well.. Hope to see you back here with us very soon... Sharon, hope your feeling better... Sassy, welcome... I'm a newbie also.. good luck with your journey. New as I am, I've found that this forum is very helpful and encouraging. I look forward to becoming Diamond buddies.. I look forward to hearing everyone's story for the week.. Barbara.. |
Hooray for November! Welcome to a new month! Its been a long week and a half with traveling. I forgot my Medifast food at home.
It was REALLY hard! But, I tried to make the best choices I could every day, and I managed to stay the same- no loss, but also no gain! Whew.... Happy to be home, and getting back on track. Just made another food order and I got some new stuff- can't wait to try it!. Welcome to all the new members this month!.. |
Sucks that you forgot your food. That really sucks. It is one of my biggest fears when I am traveling. Glad you didn't gain anything. Can't wait till you get your new food. You are going to have an awesome weigh in when you are back OP!..
Diamonds-been a very big, busy weekend for me. Nephew had a birthday, party, shopping, hockey, concert. Phew!! I am so tired. But, the scale is starting to move and I rocked the exercise 5 times this week! Can't wait till the official weigh in on Wednesday!.
Have a great week Diamonds! Stay OP, make a plan and stick to it. Work the plan, don't let it work you. Drink your water...then drink some more for good measure. Get some exercise even if it is a walk around the neighborhood. You got this, make your Medifast journey a success!.. |
Today was my first week's weigh in!!.
10 pounds gone forever!. YAY!.. |
Hi Diamonds!.
Just a quick fly by for me. I've been busy the last week, had some time off work and now I'm trying to catch up. I think I made one post all last week and it wasn't here. Sorry. I had a couple of not so great days (plan wise) last week, and last night I was soooooo hungry I ate about 1100 calories. (carbs were ok). Jenn.. |
Sassy,, Great way to start.. Contrats.. WOW!.
Keep up the great work... |
Holy crap Sassy! What a freakin' amazing weigh in!!! Keep that momentum going...
Just wanted to check in Diamonds. It was a long Monday with the time change. It always screws me up. Then I had a dentist appointment after work. Finally got home late and realized how hard it is to eat a lean&green with half your face numb. It was not cute.
Gonna kick these last 25 pounds off my body and start T&M.. Work the plan Diamonds, don't let it work you. Make good, OP choices. Drink your water. Move around a bit, rake the leaves, play with your kids and grandkids... |
Wow you still have me on the books; thanks gals! It's been so long and lots has happened. Long hospital stay with many biggy disorders ruled out but no one knows what exactly ails me nor what name to give it but I'm hanging in and staying on plan as best I can and definitely going to stay closer as these holidays are upon us to keep from snow ballin' in weight!.
I tell you what; I don't know what I would do without my Egg subs; incredible when I get hungry!!. Going to catch up on reading and will be back later; thanks for not taking me off; sometimes we just don't get on b/c life is happenin' so fast and causing things beyond our control; you gals rock!!!!!.. |
Hi there Diamonds! Sorry I have been a little MIA lately..
Kori, you are still doing great. And your great upbeat attitude is so refreshing!! Keep it up.. Turning, glad you're back. Sorry for your problems. I know the feeling about life.Hope you get some answers soon and get better.. AFM: very busy, as usual! Last week lead up to our 3-day historical re-enactment set in 1832 Texas. Then that was Fri., Sat. and Sun.very long, tiring days dressed in 1832 attire!! Back at the office now trying to get everything wrapped up and then DH and I are taking a few days off and visiting the Texas Hill Country. woohoo!!! So I may not be able to check in much the next few days either.. Hope our surgery girls are feeling better and doing well!! Have a great OP day, week, month.I'll be thinking of you all! Drink your water!!.. |
Hello Diamonds,.
I'm new to the group and haven't posted here yet. I've just started week 3 and have lost 10 lbs. I'm so excited since sometimes I don't lose that in a month. When I started MF, I was hoping to lose 20 lbs by Thanksgiving as I'm going home to see family and I haven't told them that I'm on a weight loss program. Now, I no longer hope. I know that I will reach my goal by then and possibly surpass it.. I'm excited to know that so many people have successfully lost over 100 lbs on MF. It seems like a daunting goal and unachievable at times. I finally feel that I will achieve my goal through MF. This is a great group of individuals that support each other and share ideas... |
Good Evening Diamonds!.
Don't delete me from the list Joyce. I'm reading when I can get my laptop from a kid or grand. I'm on program and losing very slowly. I'll update my ticker soon. Congrats on the progress.. Sharon- Hope you're driving by now! Glad you're getting your strength back. Rest up while you can.. Kori, Mike and Joy. It's so good to see you guys still on program and so successful. I'm on my way to check out your pics Joy.. Welcome Sassy!. AFM- I promised my granddaughter to help with her piano practice, so I'm off again. I'll check in soon.. Have a great OP Wednesday... |
Welcome back Marta! Hope they find out what is wring very soon. Glad you are keeping an eye On the weight. Keep up the good work..
Joyce - the reenactment sounds like fun. Enjoy your time off with hubby. Saw your ticker is moving girl. That is awesome..
Welcome Lynn! Sounds like you are off to a good start so far. One thing I learned early on is not to set weight deadlines for myself. I will set an amount that I set goals at, like 10, 25, 50, etc. But I don't say I want to loose this amount by this day. I have found as Many others have, that it almost never works out that way and ends up messing with your head...
Hey guys,.
I've been off Medifast since mid june. I started summer good and when on vacation would switch to low carb...and it was working....then on the the 2nd beach trip I blew...and could just never seem to get back on....I kept going tomorrow...tomorrow...and in the mean time I would pig out to get everything I wanted in....and I ballooned. I had lost 40 pounds in 3 months and over the and in the last 5 1/2 months I put back on 24ish....not because as some have insinuated because I lost it quickly on medifast...but because I have sat on my a*# and have been pigging out. The first 2 months off I was not on plan but not doing awful and I only put on 5....but then I went back to old habits and well...I deserved what I got. I have finally restarted on Monday 11/8 and have gone down 6 pounds rather quickly which is great. I wish I would have kept up with this thread even though I wasn't on and I probably would have gotten on quicker....Kori, Joy, Joyce...WOW!!! the transformations since I last saw in June are amazing....I am soooo jealous (in a good and inspiring way)....now that I have stayed on for a few days I think I safe and back on the right track....it always seems once I get thru day 3 it gets easier....that day 3 is the key day if I am going to stay on or not...usually my blow day...but I got thru it (even though I tried all three days to talk myself into cheating)...need to start moving my butt and it should all be good.. Shell.. |
Welcome back Shell! Glad you have taken some to reflect on why you gained the weight back and know that there is a way to get it back off if you stick to it. Positive vibes coming your way till you break thru day 3 and so you stay OP!..
AFM - I am off for the Veterans day holiday. I have a bunch of cookies to bake for some invitations my sister and I are sending out for a cookie exchange we are hosting next month. Better get baking!.
Stay strong Diamonds, the holidays are fast approaching. Drink your water, make OP choices, build those habits up now so when the holidays are here you are set!.. |
Hope everyone had a great weekend..
I weighed in today, my 4th week and am down another 3 lbs.. So exciting.. I'm hoping for another 5 before Thanksgiving. We will see... I had a good OP weekend and went out to eat 3 days. It seems almost all restaurants have something... One day I ordered a shimp cocktail and a spinich salad.. Made my own shrimp salad. Very tastey. I do think that I'm not getting all my lean sometimes. At least I would know if I need to cut it down or add more protein later on.. Well.. I wish everyone a good week.. Barbara.. |
Really quiet on here this weekend..
Hope everyone is staying OP and just busy.. I am off to make some enchiladas for my brother.. Then bake apple muffins and brownie bites.. Will check in tomorrow Diamonds.. Remember to make good choices, drink your water, plan so you are not left stranded, drink more water, and rock this program!.. |
Sorry I've been MIA..
I am struggling, but I am not giving in.. Keep good thoughts for me. : ).. |
Great job on the weigh in Barbara! Eating out can be a little scary but I think you are probably doing just fine. I hope you are able to get 5 more pounds before Thanksgiving but try not to hold too much on to specific number goals just to make sure you don't get depressed if you don't meet it...
Great job deciding to come here when you are struggling. Anything we can help you with Donna? Good vibes coming your way...
Kori..
Thanks for the kudos, it's great to get those.. so encouraging to keep up the work. And conrats on your big loss.. a very great inspiration!!! your almost there... wonderful. Gives me faith that I can accomplish my goals... Barbara.. |
Morning Diamonds!.
Kori : WooHoo! You're in the 160's! That's great. I love it when I hit a new decade.. Barbara : Good job on making it down another 3 lbs, and 4 weeks on meidfast.. Donna : Hang in there. My thoughts are with you. Hope the journey starts going a bit smoother for you.. AFM : I feel like crap! My face is all broken out, and I ache all over. I skipped work yesterday, and I wish I could have taken today as well, but I hate using vacation days to stay at home and feel sorry for myself. I think it's just a case of bad allergies/PMS/and to much work this weekend. I cleaned house for hours on Saturday and Sunday. I almost always feel puny for a day or 2 following a serious cleaning. I have severe allergies to dust and just about every cleaning product out there. Have a good week everyone!!. Jenn.. |
Jenn...
I'm so sorry that your not feeling well.. I know how over excertion makes me feel. Hang in there and know I'm sending you get well thoughts.. Since you have allergies to dust and chemicals, have you ever thought of using a steam cleaning system? Kills the dust mites and no chemicals. Its great and may make less of on impact on your allergies. I use one when I do my deep cleaning and find it make my job easier. Just a thought.. Barbara.. |
Sorry I have been MIA! My laptop died and I have been without it for about 3 weeks. Hope to catch up here real soon! Hope all is well..
I am Positive and On Plan- loving my new job and Curves!!.. |
Barbara : I don't know how well steam would work for me right now. My house gets really dusty with all the dogs(5) and cat(1) I have. I'm really hoping that within the next 2 or 3 years I can have hard wood flooring put in, and I definately will get a steam cleaning system for the floor at that time. In the meantime I should be vacumming for a few minutes every day so it doesn't get out of hand..
Jenn.. |
The steam machines kill the dust mites, that is usually what we are allergic to. Some hand machines will actually do the dusting on the furniture and some floor machines have an attachment to go over the carpet to kill mites and other allergens. (not that I'm trying to sell you on anything.).
I have the hand model.. I want to get the floor model, but won't until my floor machine that I have now breaks down... |
Jenn - I love that you took off a day from work to recover! I think we should do more stuff like that for ourselves. I called in sick today and went to Disneyland (I have an annual pass). It was awesome!.
Geri - glad you are ok, I was worried about you as I am worried about some of our other Diamonds.. Afm - going to get to bed. Hope I rock tomorrows wi... |
Good morning Diamonds. I'm in a training class all week this week and I can't ride my bicycle to get there - no shower facilities. I really miss it and I can't wait to start riding again. I'll probably take a long ride on the weekend to make up for it...
Barbara- Welcome to the Diamonds..
This is a great group!! The people here are very supportive and informative. We celebrate one anothers successes and help with one another!. I agree! I am looking forward to an On Plan Holiday season too! There are so many great holiday recipes that allow you to enjoy your holiday favorites and still stay on plan. Way to go on saying no to the chocolates!. I am happy to hear that you feel in control. This program works when you follow it!! Going out to eat can be a challenge- glad you are being successful at it!!. Hope you are having a Positive On Plan November!!. [/color].. |
Welcome to the Diamonds!.
Look forward to chatting and getting healthy with you- 1 day and 1 pound at a time!!.. |
Having a plan is key to success! Always having your Medifast meals with you- plus an extra one just in case you get stuck without them longer than expected. Water is crucial. It can make all the difference. Drink at least 64 oz- half of your body weight if you can!!..
Can't wait to try the new pretzel sticks!.
They look really yummy! The old ones were good but these look like the will be more like the pretzels we all knew and loved!!.. |
Traveling with is tough! Traveling without your Medifast food is never easy. I am glad you survived and were able to make good choices. Staying the same without your Medifast foods away from home is great!! Enjoy the new stuff and good luck on getting back on track!!..
Barbara- Great Weigh- In ! Keep up the great work!! Every pound you lose gets you 1 pound closer to Goal!..
Donna- Sorry to hear that you are struggling! Happy to hear that you are not giving in!! You can do this! You and your health are too important!! Take it 1 Day at a time! Remember- every on plan day is a successful day!.
Yesterday's mistakes do not determine today's Success!!.. |
Mart! I miss you so so much! Wish we could chat and be friends again!! Things are not the same without you in my life!! Wish I knew what I did wrong!! I miss your smile, I miss your compassion, I miss you!!..
Calling in sick and going to Disneyland sounds like a great escape from reality!! Wish Disneyworld was closer too me have not been there in so so long!!.
Yes all was well and still is! Thanks for caring and worrying when I was gone! It is good to know that I can always count on you!.. |
Geri - Way to rock the shout outs! Awesome! Glad everything is going well with you..
AFM - Weigh in was pretty good this week! 1.6 pounds! Just finished my third week in a row working out 5 times a week. I am hoping this will kick start the weigh ins until goal.. Just need to make it through today, then I am off to Texas to vist BF for the week. One glorious week off for vacation! I love it!. Stay OP Diamonds, make good choices for the Thanksgiving holiday. Have a plan, know what you can and can't eat. It you plan your menu, you will know what to expect and can control if you stay OP. Drink lots of water. Oh, and shopping Black Friday burns mad calories if you do it right!.. |
Greeting Diamonds,.
A quick stop by before our fricking internet cuts out again. The whole block has been in & out for almost 2 wks... can't tell you how many times I've been about to hit post and it all disappears as my screen goes white. Anyway, I'm doing fine. Recovery has been slower than molasses and my leave has been extended 2 weeks. I'm bored, can't concentrate for beans, but my energy is getting better so I'm walking more. My weight loss has remained steady with the MD required increase in protein and calories. Not sure how that's possible, maybe healing takes more calories?. Did get to read many posts, if the internet ever gets fixed I'm gonna have a lot of catching up to do! Hope all is well with you my friends!. Sharon.. |
Good Sunday Morning Diamonds!.
Sharon glad to hear you are healing. The discussion has been light all week so I think you'll catch up quickly.. Congrats to all on the weight loss.. I'm still sharing my computer this semester with one of my kids. That means I generally don't have a computer. But I catch up on all of you and send strong positive vibes your way.. Have a good OP week.. Mary.. |
Glad you are healing ok and your weight loss is steady. Can't wait for you to be back on here chatting when the Internet is fixed. Have a wonderful OP Thanksgiving!..
Made it to Texas late last night. Spent a wonderful, beautiful day with BF. Went to a street fair, took a nap, and hung out..
Going to go and make something to eat now.. Need to figure out how to get in my exercise this week since I don't have the gym. Want to keep my 5 times a week habit up if I can.. Much love Diamonds... |
Hello Diamonds.
Sunday afternoon.. Weight in today and down another 3 lbs.. I was a little (very tiny winy) disappointed because I thought for some darn reason I lost 5 lbs then when I came to log my weight I realized ooppsss.. I was thinking of 2 weeks ago weight. oh well.. I'm very happy with that loss.. Last week was a very easy week.. this week I'll be off of work the whole week.. Here inlies the challange. We aren't doing anything special, so I will be home most of the time.. I don't think i'll have a problem, but I haven't been bored yet.. Its raining.. Usually time to curl up on the couch under a blanket and snacking.. No snacking today.. well.. until it's time for a meal.. Thats why I like the Puffs and Pretzels.. Anyway.. I'm hoping to have an OP week no matter what. Even on Turkey Day.. ohhhh. can't wait for the turkey.. yum... I hope you all have a great week... and enjoy the good company.... stay OP and have another great successful week... Oh.. can someone let me know what AFM stands for?. Thanks. Barbara.. |
Barbara - hope you enjoy your week off. I am also off this whole week but I flew to Texas to see my BF. Sounds like you have a good plan to deal with the snacking and Thanksgiving. I can't wait for turkey either. Great thing is that it is a large portion so I am even thinking of making it into 2 sittings. Then save a healthy fat serving so I can have a mock turkey sandwich with a cot bagel, turkey, and lite mayo.
Keep up the good work!.. |
Hi Diamonds. I'm still here! Just very busy and away from computer..
Barbara, AFM=As for me.. Sharon, glad you're still doing well. I'm sure you'll be 100% soon!. Mary, good to see you still here.. Kori, girl, you are just rocking this program. So happy for you. What do you and BF do for Thanksgiving? Since you'll be away from your family.... Mike, hope you got your bike ride in this weekend.. Everyone else, hope you're doing great and checking in.. AFM, DH and I went to the Texas Hill Country for a few days, then to softball tournament this past weekend. Now all sports are over until Jan.!! We'll just have a couple dance recitals during the holidays to attend. And of course all the decorating and shopping. I always get a little carried away with both. Love the holidays!. I've been doing some soul-searching again and think I'll blog about it instead of taking so much space here.. Y'all take care and have a good one!!.. |
Hi Diamonds!.
Barbara : AFM means as for me.. Sharon : Glad you're feeling better, hope you can get back to work soon.. AFM : This has been an unusual week. I cleaned house for many hours again on Sat and Sun. (Which I also did last weekend). I'm getting my mortgage re-financed and the appraiser came by this morning. With this marathon cleaning I hope I feel up to even basic cleaning before the spring. I think the major physical exercise has slowed my weight loss a bit. Oh well. At least I've been finding it pretty easy to pass up all the yummy holiday treats. Have a good week everyone. And Happy Thanksgiving!!. Jenn.. |
Good Monday evening Diamonds..
I'm a football fan, getting ready for a little Monday Night Football.. Joyce, I read your blog and I think you're really on to something. The whole idea is to lose weight, feel better and get healthier. Looks like you've done all that.. Kori, Your my inspiration girl. Keep it up.. Jenn-I think the stress of refinance may make it harder to lose. Increased cortisol from stress.. Barb-enjoy your time off.. Joy-If you're interested, I'll trade honey mustard or chili puffs for the new pretzes that you don't like.. I'm offline for the game.. Have a good week Diamonds... |

Joyce - so good to see you here today. Sounds like you have been enjoying the family to the fullest. Will check out your blog. For Thanksgiving, I will be flying back home. Bf has to work so I will fly home to spend it with my family. Then massive a hopping on Black Friday..
Jenn - hope the scale is good to you but if it isn't, don't worry, it will go down. Mary - enjoy your football tonight.. Afm - bf had his wisdom tooth extracted today so he has been sleeping most of the day on heavy pain meds. I went searching for a gym today and ended up signing up for a yearvwmembership so I can have a place to work out when I visit and for when I move here. Made some awesome cauliflower pizza tonight. I love that stuff... |

Stopping by to say hello and wish everyone a great week!.
My grandaughter will be staying over three nights and that means homongous temptation for me but I'm determined to remain 'IN' n' 'OP'!. I've been able to be without muscle spasms for two whole weeks and am so very thrilled; three meds that were prescribed for me also had side effects to cause muscle spasms and cramps; no longer take them! Also, am taking more magnesium with my calcium of which I was not doing and has helped a great deal; things are looking up for me once again.. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all !.. |

Hey Diamonds!.
Sorry I've been MIA here on the boards lately. I've been busy in my kitchen today trying to come up with a recipe for an Medifast cornbread stuffing. Well guess what ... I created one! I posted it on the recipe board, but just had to post it here for my Diamonds as well.... Does anyone want to eat stuffing this Thanksgiving and still stay 100% OP? Here's the recipe I came up with today and now I can't wait until Thursday to enjoy it! For full color step-by-step pictures, please check out my Blog on My Page.. Medifast Cornbread Stuffing. 1 pk Medifast Chicken Noodle Soup. 1/2 tsp baking powder (1 condiment). 1/2 tsp chicken seasoning (1/2 condiment). 2 Tbs egg beaters (deduct from lean). 2 Tbs water. 1 Tbs onion (1 condiment). 1/2 cup celery (1/3 green). 1 1/2 cups water. Dash of black pepper. Dash of chicken seasoning. Pour water in a small saucepan along with finely diced onion, celery and dash of pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cook for approximately 10 minutes or until onion and celery are soft.. Spray microwave container with Pam and set aside. Empty chicken noodle soup in Magic Bullet and grind until it's a fine powder. Combine baking powder and soup mix, then pour into prepared microwave container. Add water and Egg Beaters. Stir until consistency resembles corn bread batter. Microwave for 1 minute 20 seconds (1100 watt microwave - adjust accordingly). After it's cooled, either cut into cubes or crumble with hands (should be dry like cornbread). Place mock cornbread in a bowl and add cooked celery and onion, then stir. Add approximately 1/4 cup celery/onion broth until you get the consistency you prefer. Now you can either warm it in the microwave or oven. I'm storing mine in the refrigerator so the flavors will meld together even more before enjoying it on Thanksgiving day.. Stuffing is my all time favorite food and it's my job to make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. I'm a Southern girl and while this may not be my grandmother's recipe, it's absolutely delicious! Let me know if you try it and whether or not you like it.. Happy Thanksgiving,. Joy. Started: 4/5/10. **** NEWS FLASH***.
TYPO Error - Do NOT use 1/2 tsp chicken seasoning - ONLY the dash at the end!!!. Good Morning Diamonds!. I just realized I made a typo error in my Cornbread Stuffing recipe! I guess that's what happens when it's late and you should be in bed instead of playing "chef" - LOL! I'm off to the grocery store to do my Thanksgiving shopping so I don't have to deal with the crowds.. Hope everyone has a wonderful OP day!. Joy. Started: 4/5/10. Geri - have a wonderful Thanksgiving, staying OP and rocking the program..
Joy - so good to see your face around here chica. I am not a huge stuffing fan myself but I must say the recipes you come up with are amazing. Enjoy your holiday.. Afm - going to get to the gym today and work out. May try out their free unlimited tanning but will have to ask how it works because I have never done that. I have lived in southern California where you can get a tan just going outside for a bit. Will check back in later Diamonds. After the gym I plan on starting to make my Black Friday shopping list and plan. I like to have a whole strategy and game plan... |
Kori- Thanks! I plan on making alot of my Old Holiday Favorites- Medifast Style off course- caulipotatoes, string bean casserole, egg nog, and mock apple crisp!! Yummy!! So I will be rocking an on plan holiday feast- just me and my fiance!..

So, since I am at BF's house, I am skipping my weigh in this week. I know I have lost but I want to get the exact amount when I step on my own scale. I am excited by the loss I see on Bf scale but scared it isn't as much as will show up on my own. Does that make sense? So...I am not getting my hopes up, just going to wait and do an official weigh in next week..
Also, bf had to work today so I can't borrow his car to go to the gym. So I will be leaving soon to take a long walk to get some coffee. Should be able to get in at least a couple miles... |

Hello Diamonds!.
I got good news/not so good news today. My house appraised at a much higher amount then I was expecting. Woo Hoo! But I have to do some repairs to the master bathroom before the loan is OK'ed. I emailed the appraiser just now to get instructions on the repairs. I'll have to have the handyman come out as soon as possible to get them done. I'm hoping it's just a thin coat of plaster and a couple of coats of paint that's needed. At least I won't be stressing out over the holiday weekend about how much it appraised for.. BTW : I was down 0.8 this week, which I'm happy about, since I didn't think I'd be down any. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!. Jenn.. |

Happy Thanksgiving, Diamonds!.
I have been on Medifast since June 28th, but have not officially joined many groups as of yet. I have been reading your thread and feel very at home here, so I decided to "come out of the shadows" and join the discussion.. Joyce, please add me to the roster when you begin December.. Looking forward to getting to know you all better... |
Jenn - that is awesome. I hope you don't have to make that many repairs on the bathroom. It isn't happening a lot these days, houses appraising more than you think, they are usually lower. Plus you had a loss on the scale?? BONUS!!! Even though it was small, a loss is a loss. Happy Thanksgiving!..

I am about to board my plane herein Austin but wanted to check in quickly and say have a wonderful Thanksgiving Diamonds! Make good OP choices, drink your water and be proud of the successes you have had so far...

Kori-Good luck with your Weigh-In next week..
I hope your scale shows even better progress then BF's. I can relate to weighing on different scales and getting different results. The scale at Curves always weighs a few pounds heavier then my scale at home- Drs scales usually do!!. Hope you enjoyed your walk. Had a hard time getting motivated today so did not make it to Curves today but did some errands and got some walking in. I miss the days I do not get to Curves- I really enjoy it! I feel so alive and invigorated after a great workout!!.. |
Jenn- Good luck with the work on your house. Hope you can get away without having to spend alot of money. So glad the appraisal was a good one and you can enjoy your holiday weekend with no worries..
Remember- Every loss is a good loss and gets you 1 step closer to Goal ! As long as the scale is going down you are succeeding!!.. |
Pam- Welcome to the Diamonds!.
You will love it here- such a great group of people. Everyone here is so supportive!!.. |
Kori-Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip!!.
I will miss you while you are gone!!!.. |
Hello to all my Sparkly Diamonds!.
Hope everyone had a blessed, on plan holiday and are enjoying their time with family and friends. Hopefully you got to enjoy some of your Holiday Favorites- Medifast Style of course. My Fiance and I had a really nice day. Wish we had the rest of the weekend to spend together but we both must work. He returned to work today and me tommorrow. I made many Medifast Holiday Recipes and have lots of leftovers. They always seem to taste even better the 2nd time around. I am glad I have mine so Joe's won't be as much of a temptation. I had a few tiny, tiny tastes of his stuff but not more then a teaspoon full. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I am working alot but will try and check in!!.. |
Good morning, Diamonds..
KoriI hope you had a good flight and made it safely home to your family Thanksgiving.. GeriSounds like you had a great OP Thanksgiving.. I ate a few things that were not strictly OP at Thanksgiving dinner, but I kept track and logged it all and didn't do too badly. Friday was back to 100% OP and going strong. I am confident that the scale will go the right way tomorrow for my weekly weigh-in... |
I would love to join this group as well! I need all the encouragement and suggestions I can get! :-)..

Started Medifast about a year ago and have lost 127 pounds so far. I am a special education teacher, not married, BF lives in Texas. I am a big believer in having a plan and drinking your water.
