First off, Does this Nutrisystem diet sound healthy? Looking forward for any comment. My 2nd question... I read the thread about things you should know and it was quite helpful. Any advice on the actual ordering process?. |

Yes sir! but... you might want to make sure and wait for another member to confirm my answer as I am not very confident. Better yet, why don't you ask the Nutrisystem guys because they can assist you better...

I can save you $30 on your first.
Or second. Order. Send me your e-mail address via 'Private Message' by clicking my name above my avatar. I will in turn send you a coupon code to apply to your "Auto-delivery" page. You save $30, I save $30. Win-Win. Click the pic below for more info.. Also, order the "Men's Favorite" package because your tastes will change. You will find things you absolutely hate today will be your fav's tomorrow. Especially when it comes to veggie add in's. And don't eat the stuff you like the best first, otherwise you will be left with a lot a stuff you don't like at the end of the month. If you find something you can't stand, MAN UP, eat it anyway and then delete that item off of your 'auto-ship' next order... |

Looking at the choices of foods on NS, it is possible, but you are losing lots of choices/variety. Just being able to stop someplace and "buy" a cup of hot water will open up a whole bunch of choices. And, there are places "quick shops" where you can slip a dinner choice in their microwaves that will open up even more. Be creative and a little underhanded and you'll do fine. Don't let that stop you from a great program. And, just guessing, stop eating all the munchy junk food you now take along on those drives..
How many miles a day do you drive?.. |
Sorry, Fuzz...my bad...I didn't even read your post till I had finished my post. I need to start getting up earlier..
Forget my other post, PM Fuzz on this one... |
On a normal day I drive about 120 miles, but with coaching I end up leaving straight from practice to go watch a game which could be anywhere from an additional 30-90 miles. Eat on the road by going through a drive through or grabbing a hot-dog at the game. Then when I get home and hit the couch munching on garbage..
I don't think it will be hard to adjust during the day because I have access to a microwave and hot water here at school, but the evenings are a concern... |
Truth be told, some of the Nutrisystem dinners aren't that bad if you have to eat them cold.... Being in the military, my taste buds have pretty low expectations, but I can't eat the Noodles w/Lemon Butter Sauce cold, and it's not half bad....
The whipped sweet potatoes uncooked, however, might be an issue. I suppose you could swish some water in your mouth, pour some dehyrdated potatoe in your pie hole, and hope for the best...... |
Now that sounds like a plan I can live with for the rest of my life. ha-ha..
Hopefully once you get used to it, it won't be so bad....
Seriously though, the meals are convenient as far as their prep, so I wouldn't think you'd have too many issues in the evening. You might want to consider avoiding foods like the Mac n' Cheese w/beef, as they do require hot water, versus 1:30 in a microwave.... Good luck with it, i'm sure you can make it work... |
Damon,.
I was just kidding. We can split the $30. The New Guy can give both of us $35 and we'll call it even.. Heck, with all the support he'll find in here, he might have to send us $35 every week... |
With that 5 lb guarantee we might be able to work something out...
The ref is entitled to much more...we'll give him 125% since it is close to Christmas..
KG, the signature worked...I can't wait to start seeing it go downward... |

As a suggestion you can eat the dinners at lunch time, and heat them in the microwave. HAve your lunches at dinner and eat them cold if you cant heat them. Or you can eat the lunch bars in the evening if you dont like to eat prepared foods cold. I have had a bunch of the lunch containers cold and they are fine. At least you will be able to work in one hot meal a day..
Good luck with the plan, Drink the water, lots of water.. You will have to leave earlier for the games because you will definately have to make stops to get rid of the water you will be drinking... |
Welcome to NS, KG! The forums here have great people and even better information..
My advice:. 1. Do the plan 100%. Not 90% and not 110%. 2. Exercise. 3. Drink all the water.. ... |
